Overview
The Sr. Sales Account Specialist - Grocery will manage regional grocery customers while executing objectives set by the Key Account Manager II - Grocery. This will also include working closely with a network of grocery brokers. The Sr. Sales Account Specialist will manage promotional program, local budgets, process advertising claims, monthly forecasting, ROI analysis, etc. for appropriate accounts.
Responsibilities
Maintain and develop trade customer account base (primarily grocery) through implementation of overall marketing plan. This is to be accomplished by means of account presentations and overall follow through with retail customer.
Maintain overall knowledge of appropriate retail customer base. Know most efficient and economical way to accomplish overall sales and marketing goals of BISSELL.
Meet customer sales quotas. Must meet customer profit and EVA objectives for the grocery channel as established by BISSELL.
Develop, manage and execute promotional programs; has promotional budget responsibility. Manages advertising budgets for respective accounts, determines most efficient/profitable means of spending funds while maintaining overall marketing goals as well as meeting customer expectations for retail movement of BISSELL & Woolite products.
Partner with Customer Service in tracking and maintaining customer orders from initial entry into order system to final delivery to customer.
Process and track advertising claims through internal BISSELL system. Clear outstanding claims in an efficient and appropriate manner.
Lead effective communication of all retailer information throughout the organization including Marketing, Customer Service, Retail Account Coordinators and A/R Coordinators.
Regular communication with external brokers as it relates to ongoing updates, share information, line reviews, cost increases, etc.
Responsible for monthly forecasting of assigned customer base at the account or channel level.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Education
Degree minimum: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Marketing and/or other related field.
Experience level: 3-5 years

Skills Required:
Experience working with all functions across the business--marketing/operations/finance to drive the category agendas. Experience developing and managing budgets with history of improving spend performance.
Experience and understanding of the key line items of a P&L that drive GM and EVA for respective accounts and apply this information to drive Bissell's goals.
Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions. Handles conflict constructively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present in an organized manner. Independently uses resources and data system to gather, manage and analyze information.
As part of a team, develops and executes key action plans within personal scope in support of account goals. Effectively keeps KAM II and team members updated on status of account projects and goals.
