Sr Safety Specialist

Join an organization that demonstrates a proactive health and safety management system, combined with a continuous improvement environment. You will a key professional in the HSE function. You will drive key activities and HSE performance metrics for the Des Plaines R&D organization. You will accomplish this by establishing strong working relationships with the employees. You will report directly to the HSE Manger for the site. You will be a key HSE resource with the site directing sustainable health and safety programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices in health and safety standards.

Integrate, monitor, and support Health & Safety programs to ensure compliance with the applicable guidelines, procedures, and regulations

Incorporate continuous improvement at the sites using Honeywell's Health and Safety initiatives through Honeywell's Operating System activities and Responsible Care program.

Provide proactive integration of HSE initiatives across the Des Plaines R&D organization keeping in front of leading edge safety awareness
40 Incident Management 35 Track and complete compliance tasks 15 Life critical activities ( lock, tag, try; line breaking; hot work) 10 Participate in audits

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Bachelors' in Safety/Health or chemistry or related field

  • CSP Certification

  • Use innovative thinking to create continuous improvement

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills

  • Technical knowledge that can apply to role

The Customer Success Specialist role is a great opportunity to provide a new and valuable service to Honeywell customers within the UOP and non-UOP installed base. Honeywell Connected Plant (HCP) is looking for a Customer Success Specialist to support all new and ongoing HCP engagements in the US region. This role will work with a team of HCP Support Specialists and Managers in providing direct customer support and will be critical in establishing and maintaining customer relationships and driving ongoing value delivery for HCP solutions. The Customer Success Specialist will ensure that HCP operating objectives, customer commitments, and customer satisfaction metrics are met. Duties include supporting HCP Managers in delivering customer commitments on a regular basis ensuring that all HCP issues are addressed, and progress is being made on key HCP actions and recommendations. Other duties include ongoing, monthly, and quarterly communication of results to the customer. To support this effort, the Customer Success Specialist will have regular and on-going communications with process experts across the Honeywell community. These process experts will be providing technical rationale and justification for HCP recommendations and actions. YOU MUST HAVE * Bachelors degree in chemical engineering * 6 years minimum refining or petrochemicals experience WE VALUE * Technical Excellence core understanding of multiple UOP technologies for customer facing technical discussions. * Good understanding of Honeywell UOP technologies * Experience within UOPs Service organization preferred * Integrative Thinker leverage knowledge of UOP technologies and customers together with knowledge of CPS capabilities to provide solutions. * Experience in engineering modeling, optimization, and related services is beneficial * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and commitments * Solid, comprehensive, problem-solving skills. * Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. * Ability to travel up to 35% annually to both domestic and international sites.
