About the position:

The Sr. Retail Project Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to driving growth and strategy for new business opportunities.

As the manager of this group, you will lead the activation of new store openings, store acquisitions, and new program pilots, all aimed at innovating our core business model. You will leverage your business operations expertise to guide, manage, and spearhead efforts, ensuring the successful implementation of new project plans while enhancing established practices. Your leadership will be crucial in coordinating and motivating your team to achieve our strategic objectives.

What You Can Expect to Do:

• Project Management: Lead and oversee the development and execution of new products or business launch plans.
  
  Prepare detailed launch plans with the necessary resources, timeframes, and communication to achieve launch date goals. You are proficient in project management software and have a sound understanding of how to lead status update calls. Ensure that project goals and milestones are met on time and within budget constraints, providing overall oversight to guarantee project success.

• Operations and Training: Interview, onboard, and train team members, ensuring they acquire optical skills and operations processes to maintain Eyemart standards.
  
  Review all training materials and deliver training on-site, maintaining a fun, engaging environment to aid in content retention and showcase the Eyemart culture. Act as a brand ambassador to set the stage for operational workflow expectations. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and understand training needs that align with our organization's strategic goals. Foster an environment centered around growth and development to successfully launch new business endeavors.

• Leadership and Team Development: Provide strong leadership, directing your team on logistical time spent in the field.
  
  Invest in your team's growth, encouraging development and continuous improvement. Guide and motivate team members, ensuring they have clear goals and support to achieve them.

• Collaboration: Work closely with multiple departments to facilitate the launch of new programs, stores, or acquisitions.
  
  Maintain records of deliverables, tasks, and requirements to ensure timely and successful openings. Oversee collaborative efforts to ensure all aspects of the projects are aligned and on track.

• Communication: Establish clear communication channels to deliver timely messaging and announcements to all stakeholders.
  
  Proactively share updates, inform departments, and identify risks associated with launch plans. Ensure communication is comprehensive and includes all necessary details for individual assignments. Take an innovative approach to ensure information is shared through the appropriate channels.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Education: High school diploma or GED.

• Experience:

• Previous experience in retail required

• 1-3 years experience in retail-specific project management experience required

• Experience opening new stores required

• Previous optical or specialty retail experience highly desirable

• Leadership and Development: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of continuous growth and improvement.

• Strong Attention to Detail: Ensure precision and accuracy in all tasks.

• Computer Literacy: Proficient in navigating project management software. Experience with optical sales management software is a plus.

• Environment: Fast-paced environment requiring prolonged periods of standing. Ability to lift or carry boxes up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to Travel: Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
