The Sr. Reservoir Engineering Technician performs advanced technician duties under the direction of the Director of Reservoir Engineering & Technology, primarily focused on supporting annual corporate reserve and budget processes, assisting Reservoir Engineers with complicated specialized projects, maintaining complex databases, which act as a backbone for many departments, and providing general engineering tech support for corporate reservoir and reserve functions.

Responsible for maintaining and updating all corporate ARIES SQL databases, changing database structures as needed to support requests from end-users;Ensures all data flowing through ARIES SQL databases is accurate and generate/maintain automated import processes for databases to improve speed and efficiency of data flow;Act as primary engineering tech for both Wattenberg and Delaware Basin reservoir engineers, requiring frequent communication and collaboration on specialized projects involving multiple departments;Function as primary technician on all Year-End Reserve work taking sole responsibility for all ARIES work required to complete final databases;Generate final Year-End and Bank Redetermination databases for distribution to third parties;Upon request, construct specialized databases used for engineering analysis projects;Build and maintain Excel spreadsheet tools to assist with complex SEC reserve calculations in support of SMOG/FAS69;Create and maintain procedural documentation for all corporate Reserve audit controls, processes and procedures;Assist engineers with PDP declines as needed and generate production volume profiles for use in annual budget process, hedging, etc.;Maintain corporate ARIES type curve database for company reference and archival of historical inputs;Mentor and train less experienced technicians as needed;Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of the Director of Reservoir Engineering & Technology;Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.

Bachelor's degree preferred, associate or technical degree considered;8+ years' experience working in the oil & gas industry as an engineering technician;5+ years' experience working with ARIES.
