The Division of Gastroenterology is seeking a .25 FTE Sr Research Scientist 3 to assist in the design and execution of new studies related to GI Cancers (pancreatic and biliary) and GI inflammation using In-silico, Mathematical Modeling, and Artificial Intelligence.

The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressive department with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide quality work in an organized, effective, and efficient manner through innovation, training, and education. Conditions of Employment

• National certification specific to the field of research may be required in some cases.

• Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required, dependent on the nature of the research conducted, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree; at least 9 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and executing new studies related to GI Cancers (pancreatic and biliary) and GI inflammation

• Experience using In-silico, mathematical modeling, and AI intelligence

• Experience writing and editing manuscripts for National and International Journals

• Experience presenting study findings and National and International Meetings

• Experience in the submission of NIH R level grants

• PhD preferred
