Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Senior Reporting Analyst to help build revenue reporting function, revenue accounting reporting process efficiencies and robust data governance through the Company's continued high pace of growth. This person will perform revenue reporting tasks while working with key stakeholders, supporting projects and implementing process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact

  • Document reporting requirements for an order to cash cycle

  • Participate in design and gap analyses

  • Develop, implement, and test Tableau reports

  • Enhance Tableau reports as needed

  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls

  • Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, the flow of transactions, and internal controls

  • Assist in other ad hoc projects and testing

  • Monitoring and maintenance of revenue reports

  • Prepare underlying reports for revenue disclosures

  • Partner with cross-functional business partners to provide broader analytics to support business agility, insights and decision making

  • Collaborate with internal audit and data governance teams to ensure the security and integrity of revenue related data

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of experience in revenue and reporting or analytics environments

  • Highly analytical with attention to detail

  • High proficiency in Google G-Suite specifically in Sheet and MS Office Suite specifically Microsoft Excel

  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

  • Capable of work independently while maintaining tight deadlines

  • Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations

  • Willingness to take on new challenges

  • Experience with Tableau required and SAP preferred

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform a plus

The candidate must demonstrate strong initiative, ownership, passion as well as excellent management, teamwork, and problem solving skills. Reporting directly to the Manager of Portfolio Analytics, the Senior Credit Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting the reconciling of multiple data sources, streamlining the workflow where appropriate, and developing metrics to provide critical reporting to the bank's regulatory reporting cycles while monitoring & maintaining portfolio related information. Other responsibilities include implementing & coordinating processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) in addition to gathering, analyzing, and reporting data documenting internal control processes over financial reporting. In addition to SOX, the Senior Credit Reporting Analyst will assist with providing bank reconciliation metrics & statistics for SVB's accounting close process, with the expectation of appropriately communicating results to management. Responsibilities * Drive relationship building, partnership and problem solving with key internal stakeholders * Help drive and facilitate handoff of projects to other groups within SVB, including effectively managing expectations, setting goals and holding them accountable * May also lead or support special projects (depending on candidate's background) related to business case development, internal ideation and/or change management * Lead or assist in the creation, consolidation, and enhancements to dashboards and reports for senior management. Develop and manage curated datasets on key business metrics and reporting * Plan & execute SOX testing and documentation activities with consistent quality * Take ownership for all assigned process areas, which includes obtaining a comprehensive understanding of all process activities and controls as well as related company policies and external accounting and reporting guidelines and act as a subject matter expert for each of these assigned process areas * Assess and make recommendations / suggestions regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and operations * Effectively formulate reporting issues to design and implement creative solutions through analytics and predictive modeling * Reconcile various data sources, to include normalization and processing of information to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the information used for downstream reporting * Design and develop appropriate database objects and the processes used to populate those objects in order to provide data that is accurate, consistent, and relevant for business users. * Develop and manage our current set of reporting tools and analytics infrastructure, seeking improvements where necessary * Utilize advanced analytics techniques to solve business problems.
