The primary focus for this position will be release project management. Secondary will be project management support of the Service Delivery Product Delivery teams. Additionally, there will be opportunities for leading cross-functional projects that involve Service Delivery and several other departments within the company. The project management methodology will be primarily Agile and incorporate standard practices when beneficial.
Coordinate release plans between project managers and release manager
Interfaces with key team members to establish release management guidelines
Contribute to release deployment scheduling and time management
Provide daily/weekly reports based on release deployments
Help manage risk in the release endgame leading up to customer launch
Understands and manages large scale application deployments
Shows proven ability to understand automated continuous delivery and deployment solutions
Support Service Delivery product delivery teams as agile project manager
Ensure that the Service Delivery project team delivers against schedule, scope, resource/cost and quality targets
Coordinates Service Delivery project team activities, meetings, communications, and issue resolution among core team members, Senior Management and other stakeholders
Facilitate multiple teams in a fast-paced environment using hybrid agile processes
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Anticipate and manage risks, publish a risk register, proactively communicate risks/issues to management in a timely manner, and offer creative solutions
Responsible for publishing and maintaining project plans, schedules, issues lists, status reports, and meeting agendas with action items
Project management experience
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
Understanding of the release deployment process
Appreciation of the importance of on time delivery, integrity of information, and commitment to ownership of deliverables
Nice to Haves
Experience with Infrastructure or Service Delivery related project management
Agile development methodologies, i.e. Scrum and Kanban
Experience working with Jira or other Agile backlog management tool
Experience in office and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Smartsheet, Google Tools)
Excellent verbal/written communication and
Time Management skills
Ability to filter and share meaningful information with the right audience
Your Education & Experience:
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
PMP Certification (nice to have not required)
Agile Certification (nice to have not required)
