U.S. Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Release Manager to join our Systems Vulnerability and Configuration Management (SVCM) team. Consisting of a variety of infrastructure engineers, scrum masters, and business analysts, the SVCM team is responsible for all patch management and vulnerability remediation activities throughout U.S. Bank's Windows, Linux, and Unix server infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role will help to define, package, and deploy technical solutions and releases into the server infrastructure as part of the SVCM team's patch management and vulnerability remediation efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 6 years experience with activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Transform the patch management and vulnerability remediation processes at U.S. Bank by designing, building, and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems

  • Leverage industry best practices for release management

  • Interface with technical owners early and often throughout in the patch management and vulnerability remediation processes to determine appropriate remediation efforts

  • Lead discussions regarding scope, timing, and dependencies for patches

  • Contribute to reports, dashboards, and notifications for a variety of stakeholders

  • Participate as a key member and product owner in SVCM scrum teams

  • Train and mentor team members in proper change and release management strategies

  • Partner with the SVCM scrum masters, infrastructure engineers, business analysts, and information security to plan, build, schedule, and implement releases

  • Interact with auditors to demonstrate patching and vulnerability remediation compliance

  • Stay up to date on the latest security news, vulnerabilities, and patches so-as to act proactively with patching and remediation when appropriate

  • Work with information security to address and submit risk extensions, identify compensating controls, and improve overall stakeholder communication

  • Act as a champion for standardized processes and tools, as well as maturity and automation

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience leading the implementation and release of technical solutions for information technology or information security teams

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience working with a variety of IT infrastructure (i.e. servers, databases, networks, middleware, etc.) and information security teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in information technology, business, or related field

  • CISSP, CISM, or other related information security certifications

  • Experience with the ITIL framework for IT service management

  • Experience working as part of an Agile Scrum team

  • Demonstrated experience working with patch and vulnerability management

  • Experience working with a variety of tools such as Version One, Clarity, and ServiceNow

The Job As a Vulnerability Management Analyst you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining vulnerability and compliance scanning tools. You will monitor and review vulnerability and compliance scan results and conduct scheduled and ad hoc application and system scans.
