Job Description: Bank of America's Specialized Industries Banking group is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to join our Healthcare & Institutions Group in Iselin, New Jersey. The Healthcare and Institutions group ( H&I) is part of the Commercial Bank which serves public and private companies, generally with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion. H&I is a specialty group that supports the financial needs of a variety of 501c3 not for profit clients including healthcare, private universities, colleges, secondary schools, cultural, professional and social service organizations. The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for managing a portfolio of Healthcare & Institutions clients who need financial services and products to meet their needs. In addition to being the primary bank advocate and key financial advisor for the relationship, the RM is accountable for prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships. The RM will have the ability to engage in dialogue with CEO and CFO levels regarding the clients industry and alternative capital structures. The RM will then assess the risks and impacts from both the clients and the banks perspective for development and implementation of an overall client strategy. The RM is also responsible for leading, directing and coordinating key team members in analysis and execution in the effective delivery of their products and services to clients and prospects. The RM must be well versed in all Bank of America products and services for proper identification of cross-selling opportunities. Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships. Proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings. Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of a middle market relationship and industry trends. Ability to understand and interpret financial statements, especially cash flow statements.

Required: + Undergraduate degree required: MBA desirable.

  • Must be credit trained.

  • At least 10 20 years of broad based commercial lending/corporate finance/relationship management experience.

  • Demonstrates management capability of an extensive portfolio of Healthcare, Education and/or NFP clients with revenues greater than $50 million.

  • Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships + Professional proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution and follow up of client meetings.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.

  • Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading and negotiating with team of bank associates to solve client problems.

  • Series 7, 63 (Must obtain series 7 & 63 license within 180 days of start date)

Desired: + Existing knowledge of the market preferred.

  • Active member/participation in local community organizations.

  • Highly desirable to have active networking contacts and Centers of Influence established in market.

  • Desire to work in Specialized Industries with an interest in Healthcare, Education & NFP Institutions.

  • Experience in these industries highly desirable.

This includes serving as the key liaison between the customer and the UMR Operations team, trending/monitoring of service issue resolution, and education for the customer and their employees. They will address any escalated issues sent to them, the SAE, or other field employee. They will work with the Operations team and/or their manager to coordinate resolution; this position will not handle first-level service issues- those should be handled by the Customer Specialist. The Field Account Manager will meet with customers quarterly (or more often if requested) to review service related statistics including ideas for improving or enhancing the customer’s total service experience. In this position, a major role will be to conduct training/education with customers on UMR Web/On Line Services, InfoPort Reporting, and other reports or tools as appropriate. The Field Account Manager will also be responsible for conducting open enrollment meetings or coordinating coverage with other offices or a vendor if they are not available. In addition, the role will be responsible for training customers on UMR’s core wellness tools and resources, as well as communicating various administrative/service related changes to the customer (i.e.; network or pharmacy preferred drug changes.) This position reports to the local field market VP/ UMR Director of Account Management. Primary Responsibilities: Own the service experience of customers at the field level by working with the UMR Operations Team and other matrix partners as required to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately meeting the customers’ expectations Develop and maintain strong relationship with internal partners in the UMR Service Team to manage customer service experience Fully accountable for supporting the SAE in facilitating resolution of all elevated customer service requests by working with the Operations Team, and conducting customer consultations as required Facilitate customer meetings with the Operations Team regularly to assess trends and keep abreast of any escalating issues and service trends Train customers on Web Services and Reporting.
