POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Regional Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our corporate facilities, employees, and visitors. This position involves the management and oversight of armed security personnel, the development and implementation of security protocols, implementation and administration of internal facility security functions including maintaining security requirements, and coordination with local law enforcement as necessary. This role analyzes security documents and manuals and maintains appropriate levels of controls. Role also includes an ability to identify physical security deficiencies and recommend a mitigation strategy to close identified gaps.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Oversee the deployment and management of armed security personnel across corporate facilities. Ensure the team is well-trained, equipped, and prepared to respond to security threats.

  • Creates and distributes security manuals, documents, and records. Maintains facility security requirements and implements procedures for safeguarding proprietary and furnished data.

  • Develop, update, and implement security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies such as video surveillance systems, access control, visitor management, and alarm systems.

  • Develop and implement emergency training scenarios such as active shooter events, or other similar crises.

  • Executive Protection (EP): At the direction of senior management, may provide and coordinate an advance, due diligence, logistical and protective support for key company executives during company events or travel.

  • Develop and present budget to executives and financial comptroller.

  • Review and scrutinize vendor invoices for accuracy and submission.

  • Member of workplace violence committee to assess WPV allegations & resource deployment.

  • Conduct or oversee all investigations performed by security group.

  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and prepares security reports as necessary.

  • Maintains inspection reports and records and advises senior management of deficiencies and remedial/disciplinary efforts to ameliorate deficiencies.

  • Liaise with company leadership, employees, and external agencies (e.g., law enforcement, security consultants) to ensure cohesive security strategies.

  • Prepares personnel actions and forms to request security clearance/special access and maintains records of such requests. Briefs incoming staff on security processes and debriefs outgoing staff.

  • Establishes and maintains procedures on handling, safeguarding and destruction of documents and data in accordance with established processes and appropriate timelines.

  • Conducts security awareness training sessions with new staff.

  • Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Conduct post-incident root cause analysis and reports.

  • Assists in the implementation and administration of automated security systems. Maintains records for periodic secure systems inspections with customer liaisons and other technical professionals.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Prepare regular security reports for senior management.

  • Oversea and manage enterprise capital and construction projects.

  • Launch and implement systems and metric reporting for the Security Dashboard to track all supported events and security projects.

  • Conduct yearly performance evaluations.

  • Manage access control procedures and projects (ID's); assist in monitoring building entry through the enterprise.

  • Perform other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree, Law Enforcement, Security Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role, security, preferably in a corporate environment.

  • Proven experience managing armed security personnel.

  • Extensive knowledge of security protocols, incident investigation, surveillance systems, and emergency response procedures.

  • State issued clearance card.

  • Must be HR 218 qualified or similar conceal weapon carry permit

  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License.

  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Previous experience in a union environment.

  • Travel as needed.

Base Salary Range: $$105-$135k
