This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of plant Quality systems for assigned Darigold production facilities, the development and implementation of new policies and procedures, and the execution and oversight of special projects as needed to support the business.

What You Will Do

  • Help plants produce safe, conforming, and compliant products.

  • Assist in the on-boarding process and continued development for Darigold plant Quality Managers.

  • Audit, review, and assist in application of HACCP and Risk mitigation principles and practices.

  • Provide quality and technical support for Darigold's large customers and products.

  • Assess compliance and effective application of Darigold quality policies in facilities.

  • Provide support to plants in preparation for GFSI and Customer audits.

  • Develop and implement quality systems best practices between plants.

  • Development, implementation and provide training for new quality policies and procedures.

  • Assist plants in developing and sustaining effective documentation, verification, and audit compliance.

  • Work with plants to develop corrective actions for audit or regulatory inspection nonconformities and monitor the implementation of those corrective actions.

  • Develop programs to standardize quality testing equipment to develop and maintain effective calibration.

  • Manage special projects related to plant quality systems.

  • Assist in conducting internal and external (supplier) quality systems audits.

  • Assist in selecting, auditing & approving vendors based in the assigned region.

  • Monitor plant compliance with required food safety and quality training and develop new Quality and Food Safety Training programs.

  • Develop programs to drive and Standardize GMP compliance in plants.

  • Assist plants in the development, review, and auditing of operational check sheets.

  • Assist the plant in troubleshooting quality and food safety issues.

  • Assist in conducting audits of warehouses relocated in assigned region.

  • Assist in selecting, auditing, and approving and managing any co-manufacturers or co-packers in the assigned region.

What You Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Food/Dairy Science, Microbiology, or associated discipline.

  • Practical experience in food microbiology and food pathogen control.

  • Experience working in HACCP controlled food processing systems.

  • Experience in food plant sanitation and cleaning.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a management role involving dairy or food quality assurance systems.

  • At least 10 years of Industry Experience

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.

  • Excellent organizational skills. Effective time-management & ability to manage multiple priorities and

  • Able to successfully work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel to each location on a limited basis.

  • Ability to facilitate implementation of corporate food safety systems in a positive and proactive manner.
