Sr. Real Estate Paralegal - Washington, D.C.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in commercial real estate law, preferably in a law firm environment. Duties will include assisting in the preparation and management of real estate loans, purchases, sales, loan servicing and ancillary related documents such as checklists, purchase and sale agreements, conveyance documents, easements, and security instruments, etc.; due diligence including review of title reports and underlying title documents and ordering/reviewing entity documents (e.g., operating agreements, good standings, etc.).
Candidate should have extensive experience reviewing title commitments, surveys and related title exception documents and familiarity with ALTA title and survey standards, as well as experience reviewing closing and/or settlement statements for purchase and sale transactions and loans.
Experience & Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance
Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate law experience, preferably in a law firm environment
Results-oriented, self-directed individual with the demonstrated ability to prioritize, juggle multiple assignments, work in a fast-paced environment, and function as part of a cohesive team
Ability to recognize and comprehend facts and legal concepts
Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to work overtime to meet client needs
