  • Requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or Masters degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Nice to Have

  • May have practical knowledge of project management.

CVG The Cardiac and Vascular Group (CVG) brings all of our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe. This group includes Aortic, Peripheral and Venous (APV), Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF), Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Solutions, and Coronary and Structural Heart products. Within CVG, the Coronary and Structural Heart (CSH) provides interventional devices to treat coronary arteries that are blocked by atherosclerotic plaque and devices and therapies to treat structural defects of the heart. A Day in the Life This is a Medtronic Coronary Structural Heart (SH) medical writing position. This individual is responsible for developing Clinical Evaluation Reports (CERs), Post Market Surveillance Reports (PMSRs) and collaborating on a number of other clinical and regulatory documents. This individual is also responsible for administration of the applicable databases. This individual will partner closely with clinical research managers, regulatory affairs managers, quality specialists, and biostatisticians to develop a schedule and timely execute tasks. This position is located in Santa Rosa, California or Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tennessee or remote. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. * Primarily responsible for writing and maintaining Clinical Evaluation Reports and Post Market Surveillance Reports for all the CSH portfolio of products. * Collaborate (writing, reviewing, editing and approval) with clinical, R&D, quality assurance, regulatory and marketing teams on clinical study reports, clinical investigation plans, investigator brochures, evidence gap assessments, marketing brochures, post-market surveillance reports, risk management documents and other documents that require the evaluation of clinical data and/or clinical literature. * Collaborate with regulatory teams on all phases of regulatory submissions and approvals, including clinical document preparation and review, regulatory document review and the formulation of responses to regulatory agencies. * Collaborate with clinical and statistical teams on in-depth data description, presentation and analysis; provide clinical literature context and manage data analysis deliverables. * Develop and maintain in-depth therapeutic and product operation knowledge; apply this knowledge to the development of well written clinical evidence documents and in support of cross-functional teams. * Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of clinical research best practices, including the planning, execution, and documentation of clinical trials, related Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), International Standards Organization (ISO) guidelines and regulatory agencies' guidelines on clinical research conduct. * Collaborate with principal investigators, statistical and clinical communications teams on formulating first drafts of manuscripts. * Create and manage project schedules for each clinical evidence document. * Conduct proofreading, editing, document formatting, review comment integration and document completion / approval activities. * Collaborate with cross-functional team to assure high quality and successful project delivery. * Seek out and engage regularly with peers, creating an environment of exchange and learning. Openly share successes and failures to promote the group's collective learning. * Administration of the applicable databases for the activities related to the evaluation of clinical data, Clinical Evaluation reports and Post Market surveillance reporting.
