Position Description

A key data position in the Quality Control Department responsible for developing and maintaining QC's SAS Enterprise Guide monitoring routines and assessments. The routines are responsible for oversight of Ally's Automotive Finance business processes for Asset Acquisitions, Asset Management and Commercial. This involves working across multiple platforms, administering documentation and governance requirements, and investigating and resolving questions/issues raised by audit activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate valid audit populations and samples using SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) and Cogent. Maintain and update population identification projects/programs/queries to ensure audit populations are accurate.

  • Administer, updated and distribute QC's monitoring routines.

  • Query multiple Oracle, SQL and Access data bases sources including the IW, Data Mart, Cogent, etc. using tools such as SAS EG, SQL Developer and SQL Server Management Studio.

  • Use technical skills to analyze, summarize and draw conclusions from audit data (e.g. SAS EG and/or MS Excel tools). Communicate irregular trends and gaps with recommendations for process weakness to appropriate leadership.

  • Assists with management trend reporting.

  • Maintain governance and overall documentation requirements of the Quality Organization.

  • Investigate and resolve questions and issues raised by audit activities.

  • Provide back-up support for other QC data functions (e.g. population identification, reporting, Cogent system administration, team room administration).

  • Create and run designated Cogent reports.

  • Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests for management.

  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be familiar with extracting, analyzing and reporting on data.

  • Proficient in SAS or a similar query language.

  • Technically proficient in Excel, including pivots, filtering and graphs.

  • Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and terminology.

  • Automotive finance industry experiences a plus.

  • Must have excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Proficient writing and Word skills.

  • Report preparation using PowerPoint.

  • Skill in conducting quality control and/or audit reviews a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in: Business, Finance, Statistics, or IT/Technical.

Your Opportunity We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Assurance/Control Team Lead to support our Transmission & Distribution Team in our Jacksonville, FL office. The QA/QC Lead will coordinate and implement quality management standards to maintain excellence in Stantec's deliverables. The QA/QC Lead will confirm that all project work is in compliance with Stantec and appropriate client standards and meet all specified requirements. This position is critical in implementing effective quality management so that the project work is delivered to a high standard of quality that meets the requirements and expectations of the client organizations. Your Key Responsibilities * Lead team of engineers and designers and manage their workload * Perform QA/QC on projects before submittal to the client * Train entry level designers on Design Manager and distribution engineering * Mentor less experienced designers to improve inefficiencies * Designing of electrical distribution facilities including feeders, laterals, underground ties, and equipment upgrades for voltages 69kV and under * Perform site field visit for verification of existing distribution facilities and project requirements * Develop bill of material required for construction based upon client standards * Develop construction prints detailing facilities to be removed/installed. * Develop permit drawings as necessary to accommodate construction. * Review project scope and identify issues early on * Support the day to day activities of the project from inception through engineering, construction, commissioning and hand over Your Capabilities and Credentials * Strong GIS experience * Proficiency with GE Small World (i.e. Design Manager and Pole Foreman) * Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Office * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Be able to demonstrate solid leadership and communication skills * Working knowledge of electrical utility systems, policies and procedures including engineering standards * Experience working with a major electrical utility * Flexibility to prioritize and work on multiple projects with various due dates and scopes * Valid driver's license * Available to travel up to 20% Education and Experience We require, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in engineering with at least four to six years utility experience (electric, water, gas, or telecom).
