Position Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist (SQAS) will be responsible for supporting Quality Assurance activities related to monitoring and measuring the adherence of processes to operational and regulatory requirements. The SQAS will be responsible for assisting management in the creation and maintenance of scorecards, procedures, job aids, reporting, first and second level scorecard reviews (including escalated reviews), meetings and monthly calibrations. The SQAS will provide feedback in the creation of performance improvement goals, the development of applicable remediation actions, as well as be responsive to the needs of the entire Quality Assurance Department.


Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance as it relates to the mortgage and servicing industry, as well as compliance requirements.

Qualifications Required:

  • 2 + years QA experience

  • 2+ years college required

  • 3+ years mortgage servicing or banking experience

  • Strong working knowledge of collections, customer service, loss mitigation, escrows, bankruptcy, payment processing, boarding and foreclosure

  • Experience in Black Knight LPS/MSP/Director Premier a plus

  • Knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

  • Ability to create effective reporting and communicate results to multiple audiences with actionable recommendations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills

Essential Functions &

  • Assists with maintenance of scorecards (including functions within the Audit Management System)

  • Conduct and perform operational and compliance reviews to assess the adequacy of internal controls, including second-level and escalated reviews, as needed

  • Assist management in the creation and maintenance of Procedures and Job Aids

  • Assist management in the creation of monthly reporting, and assist with the maintenance of remediation plans, as needed

  • Assist management with Quality Assurance Specialist training

  • Understand and apply established regulatory requirements and policies and procedures

  • Make recommendations of improvement of controls

VIEW JOBS 1/21/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-20T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for supervision and leading of direct reports in order to assist in the execution of establishing, implementing, and maintaining the measurements and systems to assure that raw material supply and finished products meet or exceed OSI standards, customer standards, regulatory expectations, and industry standards. MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (i.e., Policies, procedures, etc. for which you are responsible.) * Assists Quality Assurance Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the HACCP, SSOP, EV, GMP and other Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs to assure safe food handling practices, quality products, and regulatory compliance. * Provide necessary technical resources and information to all Plant Department Managers and report all quality deviations to appropriate staff. * Perform and/or oversee HACCP and GMP audits of the process as well as employee training in these areas as needed. * Utilize SPC and other statistical tools to improve areas within the QA function. * Assist in overseeing the execution of all microbiological and chemical sampling, submission to third party lab and review and reporting of results. * Act as plant representative to USDA personnel as needed. * Covers duties in the absence of QA Supervisor; Trains crew leader to assume supervisory position in the event of absence or promotion. * Assist in the preparation for and execution of customer, corporate, and third party audits. * Produce and distribute reports analyzing QA, Food Safety and Microbiological data and trends of raw materials and finished products. Provide recommendations to management where unacceptable QA or Food Safety results have been identified. * Provide technical assistance on projects and in the execution of specialized product tests. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS * Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Meat Science, Biology, or equivalent knowledge, analytical skills and communication ability acquired through working. * 1 to 3 years relevant work experience in the food industry, preferably in meat or meat processing. * Knowledge of SPC, HACCP, USDA regulations, GMPs, Quality Assurance, and Food Microbiology. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
