Sr. Quality Assurance

Performs complex testing requiring planning, scheduling and testing for complex solutions to ensure that those meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Communicates with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues. Able to coordinate QA activities with other product QA teams and QA governance roles. Contributes significantly to planning and perhaps delivering QA Automation solutions. Operates under minimal supervision. Does not typically have management responsibilities such as hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews; however, may assist with such decisions and activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops an understanding of the industry's usage of Infor applications and incorporates this into the test requirements, design, cases, and scripts.

  • Performs complex testing and test coordination on complex projects:

  • Plans, schedules, and implements testing projects.

  • Defines test objectives.

  • Writes test cases.

  • Assists other QA Analysts with an approach and technical issues.

  • Performs complex functional, application, regression and performance tests.

  • Provides metrics and reports on test results and status.

  • Analyzes and reports overall test status and results.

  • Tooling and processes:

  • Evaluates testing tools for potential use and provides training/consulting on the use of testing tools.

  • Reviews, maintains, and creates test coding standards and processes.

  • Coordinates change control process for zero defect software development.

  • Coordinates problem management process, including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution.

  • Defines and documents QA/Testing methodologies and processes.

  • Mentors quality analysts on methodologies, technologies and problem-solving techniques.

  • Coordination with other QA teams

  • Collaborates with other QA teams to communicate and align schedules

  • Identifies and communicates dependencies within the product team and with other product/QA teams

  • Submits requests to initiate QA activities and governance approvals with other QA teams

  • QA Automation

  • Contributes significantly to planning QA Automation solutions crafting a master functional test plan, identifying appropriate automation testing for the parts of that plan, and coordinating their implementation

  • Able to develop standard QA automation scripts/coding, with guidance from QA automation engineer

EDUCATIONAL/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Typical requires 5+ years of experience in development, research, product testing or support.

  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Project Management and Release Management processes.

  • Proficient in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies.

  • Proficient creating test designs and test plans.

  • Proficient with the creation and execution of testcase/scripts.

  • Proficient with the understanding of various types of testing.

  • Proficient with defect tracking.

  • Mastery of testing tools. Specific experience with Microsoft Test Manager/TFS is beneficial.

  • Helps to mentor less experienced employees in addition to fostering teamwork.

This position performs quality assurance and control functions and supports the Quality Assurance Supervisor in ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, protocols, and policies. Additional Responsibilities Include: * Reviews SOPs to ensure that the most recently approved SOP procedures and forms are in the center procedure manuals and in use. * Complies with federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product, employee and donor safety and to the proper performance of day-to-day activities. * Reviews equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance records to ensure they are performed correctly and on time. * Reviews freezer and refrigerator charts and temperature records for compliance with SOP. * Performs QA review of external sample and product shipment releases and shipping records. * Performs QA review of training records to ensure compliance with SOP, training manual and regulations. * Performs QA review of deviation reports. * Ensures the Donor Center's licenses and certificates are in-date and valid. * Reviews donor record files daily per DCOP instruction. * Reviews of all product destruction records for compliance with SOPS. * Stages plasma units for shipment, requires pulling plasma cases in and out of freezer. Performs Quality Control Procedures * Performs a QA review of reactive donor record files, including look-back records for compliance with SOP. * Reviews Quality Control checks on equipment, reagents, and records have been performed as required and are in acceptable ranges. * Performs audits for self-assessment evaluation, monitor records, and overall compliance related to the company quality systems. * Attends and assists in all audits and ensures that all audits (internal and external) are performed, documented, reviewed, and closed. * Assists in maintaining the established quality system under any requirements that affect the center and help ensure that all operations in the center are in compliance with the Company's Quality Program. * Assists in, conducts, and evaluates center training and orientation programs. Requirements * Associates degree in applicable field of study preferred or equivalent job experience. * Must have a minimum of one (1) years related work experience, preferably in a donor center. * One (1) year work experience in biologics quality assurance preferred. * Must have legible handwriting. * Must possess knowledge and aptitude to learn various computer software; such as word processing, spreadsheets, or other related software programs. * Must have adequate communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people of all levels. * Must have excellent organizational skills and must be detail-oriented. * Ability to operate computer software including keyboard, typewriter, and calculator. NOTE: A QAT backup may be required by specific regulatory agencies. Their experience and background must be approved by Quality Management.
