Top Secret Raytheon IIS is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer supporting the Mission Assurance-Services (MAS) Organization/North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract (NISSC). As the Program's Quality Assurance Engineer you will be responsible for all matters in quality and continuous improvement.
Reporting to and working with the NISSC Risk/QA Manager, you will administer the programs Quality Program Plan and collaborate with the Risk/QA Manager to establish an executable baseline to manage the program performance, risks, and opportunities.
You must be able to interact with personnel at all levels, including external customers, technical personnel and leadership on matters often requiring coordination across other NISSC departments and between other organizations.
Specific tasks includes: Develop, implement and maintain a Quality Program that is in accordance with the Quality Program Plan (QPP). This encompasses internal audits including procedures and oversight, identification of deficiencies, prevention of nonconforming activities and corrective measures if performance requirements are not attained.
Define and document quality procedures in conjunction with program execution functions.
Conduct internal quality system and engineering process and product audits.
Perform inspection of hardware and software products to include PCAs/FCAs.
Perform independent test witness function for hardware and software upgrades.
Work with the Risk/QA Manager to maintain and update R&O CDRLs and to provide Quality review and sign off of all other program CDRLs.
Ensure program processes meet international and national standards as specified by the contract; Prepare for and participate in program reviews, providing quality assurance related performance metrics and corrective action resolution when appropriate.
Provide quality input to monthly, weekly status reports.
Manage Quality Assurance resources and budget to ensure support provided as needed.
Provide Quality Program documentation to the government upon request during the life of the contract.
Maintain Quality Program records intact for the life of the contract.
Required Skills: 6+ years of applicable experience in engineering, operations, or supply chain.
Must be a U.S.
Citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Top Secret Security Clearance: existing Secret Clearance preferred.
Proven ability in planning and conducting internal audits.
Strong analytical skills in root cause analysis, corrective / preventive action determination, and analyzing metrics and predicting future program performance.
Experience with quality systems, concepts, management and planning tools, and statistical process control tools.
Participate in nonconforming product determinations.
Experience with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards and their application.
Experience with quality inspections for logistics: purchase order quotes and incoming material.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint;. Desired
Passionate, high-energy, self-starting team player who achieves goals and drives continuous improvement.
Proficient understanding of industry technical standards (such as ISO 9000, ASQ, IPC, etc). Six Sigma Specialist.
Knowledge of configuration control, logistics, supply chain.
Required Education (including Major): Bachelors degree in in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Technology or Equivalent from an accredited university.
