Mass General Hospital is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our esteemed Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine (DACCPM). As a Senior QA Coordinator, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to our world-class Quality & Safety (Q&S) Team and make a significant impact on patient care.
Responsibilities:
Supervise QA Coordinator and Quality & Safety Analyst role.
Foster the advancement of important projects, knowledge sharing, and collaboration by utilizing QA data.
Collaborate with Division Chiefs for QA investigations and process improvements.
Develop partnerships and enhance QA education with off-site anesthesia locations.
Inform simulation team about QA lessons learned to develop simulation exercises.
Investigate quality review cases and collect relevant data.
Analyze, verify, and interpret data to identify areas for improvement.
Prepare reports and presentations for QA Committee and departmental meetings.
Collaborate with different hospital committees and individuals involved.
Instruct anesthesia trainees in QA/QI methods and goals.
Teach and communicate strategies resulting from QA investigations.
Attend and design monthly QA Committee Meetings.
Requirements:
BSN strongly preferred. Must have current licensure as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
Minimum of one-year licensed RN experience required.
5 years of experience in surgical ICU, or PACU nursing.
Clinical practice must be within the last three years.
Equivalent experience in Patient Safety and Quality is acceptable, though preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree or certification.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong project management skills with the ability to independently manage projects and data.
Ability to think critically and solve problems using analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Epic.
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a keen eye for detail.
Immaculate written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Hybrid schedule - in office (mainly at MGH to start, potentially at other sites as well with time) as well as remote schedule
