Debugs and characterizes defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports. Maintains documentation of test operations and reports results to engineering. Identifies actual or potential problems in test plans or company products. Assists product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures.

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in an environment that requires strong customer service skills? UPMC Health Center Pharmacy Central, Inc. is hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst to support the Pharmacy department located in the South Side during daylight hours on Monday through Friday. In this role, you will identify and enact initiatives to reduce UPMC's costs of goods and services, and increase internal and external (vendor) compliance of UPMC preferred processes and programs. The successful candidate will support and assist with development and implementation of procurement initiatives that reduce UPMC's purchase and operational cost, and improve service levels. You will facilitate assigned cross-functional teams (vendors and internal staff) to focus on the remediation of broken operational procure to pay processes by determining root cause and implementing corrective actions. You must collaborate effectively while managing multiple projects, multiple tight deadlines, and high pressure situations. Responsibilities: * Act as SPA (Single Point of Accountability) to Procurement Operations, Strategic Sourcing and Accounts Payable for the following areas: * Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify active and potential supply chain issues, minimize the risk of supply chain disruptions, and investigate emerging opportunities within the supply chain to make improvements. * Comprehend and communicate Supply Chain related policies and procedures to staff and internal/external customers. * Cooperate and communicate in an effective, professional manner with supervisor, management, peers, general staff, physicians, and other personnel. * Critical end user and vendor inquiries regarding procurement processes; * Ensure internal team members understand and comply with SCM standard processes and are trained on them regularly. * Ensure proper communication and customer support throughout the commodity groups; * Ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e. Meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule. * Expediting of purchase orders and end user item fulfillment requests. * Facilitate communication and verbalization of opinions within commodity group in attempt to identify and resolve issues, then present those findings to management; * Front-end invoice issue review and resolution. * Participation on cross functional teams (internal and external) to support business objectives; * Purchase Order dispatch and issue resolution. * React logically and appropriately to situations that promote unproductive interruptions to staff which affect performance. * Regularly communicates & summarizes issues/concerns and project status to the Supervisor to support optimal resolutions. * Requisition review to ensure process optimization compliance. * Resolution of PO/Invoice Match Exception items. * Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all patient, physician, and hospital related information. * SOX compliance testing; * The development, review and maintenance of procedure documents; Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree and three years previous supply chain experience, OR High School Diploma and seven years previous supply chain experience will be considered for exceptional performers. * Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes required * Need to demonstrate strong organization and communication skills, ability to provide exceptional customer support, ability to execute complex analytics in support of problem resolution, and be a self-starter and work well as a member of a team * One year of experience as a Sourcing Specialist preferred * Purchasing management designation/certification (CPM or APP) preferred * Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar ERP is preferred * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: UPMC is an equal opportunity employer.
