Job Summary and Qualifications

The Physician Services Group (PSG) and Forward Pathology Solutions are responsible for the development and implementation of FPS's Quality Assurance (QA) program for hospital, ambulatory and outpatient settings. Compliance and achievement of the highest quality standard is key component within FPS operations. The Senior Quality Analyst is a subject-matter specialist who actively participates in the implementation of all quality requirements as they relate to the Quality Program. The position requires an in-depth understanding and appreciation for health care operations, accreditation rules and regulations. This position also requires a comprehensive understanding of clinical laboratory workflow and healthcare information technology.

The analyst will analyze data, accreditation regulations, review QA metric reports and dashboards, and assess impacts on patient case. This individual will be responsible for creating documentation for the monitoring of adherence to the tenants of the Quality Plan. Additionally, this individual will review facility level data to assist in monitoring provider compliance in support of the Program.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure a standardized and consistent approach to monitoring adherence to the provisions of the Quality Plan.

• Ensure the development of the appropriate strategies, plans, tools and approaches to ensure successful application of the components of the Quality Monitoring Process.

• Facilitate effective communications among all team members and leadership to ensure comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations and requirements.

• Participate in the development of various tools and documentation from a clinical perspective to ensure compliance with all quality guidelines and procedures.

• Assists in the creation of mechanisms for deployment across the enterprise in collaboration with the various project team members.

• Performs data analysis of facility compliance, creates documentation of compliance issues and develops strategies for improving performance.

• Participates in the evaluation of all applicable regulations. Notifies team of regulatory changes that could impact processes, procedures and technologies.

• Stays abreast of all related legislation.

• Ensures collaborative working relationships with corporate departments, divisions, and facility leaders.

• Works as directed with IT&S and vendors to ensure we have defined requirements and applications that are in compliance with the Quality Plan.

• Conducts process analysis with other clinical corporate teams to facilitate process redesign and guide application of technology.

• Escalate to and collaborate with the Director of Quality on program issues and risks to identify solutions.

• Other duties as assigned as necessary, to support HCA Physician Services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required

• 3-7 years of histology and/or anatomic pathology quality experience, preferred Medical Technologist or Histotechnologist.

• Definitive analytical ability. Problem solving is a required core competency.

• Detailed working knowledge of anatomic pathology and quality reporting, adverse event reporting, regulatory agencies and other national standards preferred.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required.

• Possesses good organizational and presentation skills.

• A comfort, or even preference, for an environment of discovery and uncertainty. This program is being built from the ground up. • Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team
