As a Sr Quality Assurance (QA) Technician (Food Safety Specialist) , you will conduct food safety inspections as well as create, escalate, and manage all food safety actions and opportunities. You will also complete pre-start up inspections after sanitation, follow up on re-cleans and Release of Maintained Equipment (ROME) forms, and assist the Crete factory in foreign material prevention programs.

  • Perform Good Manufacturing Practices inspections and monthly Food Safety plant inspection program

  • Develop and implement Corrective and Preventative Actions from inspection results to correct non-conformances

  • Assist the factory in foreign material prevention and detection programs, including ROME, Foreign Material Risk Assessments, Consumer Complaints, and Inspections

  • Assist in coordinating the work activities of the contracted Pest Control Provider, janitorial service crew, and lead the daily activities of the QA sanitation crew

  • Assist scheduling and processing destruction of non-conforming production

  • Represent the plant during sanitation, regulatory, and internal inspections and audits

  • Will be required to complete Better Processing Control School, PCQI certification, and attain Pest Control Applicator license for the State of Nebraska within one year of hire.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1+ year working in quality assurance, food safety, pest control or sanitation in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $47,000 to $67,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
