We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to work in our SIP team in Phoenix, Arizona. The right candidate will have experience and knowledge of Gherkin, Automation, Continuous Integration and Agile Methodologies. They will also be an expert in general software testing methodologies and reporting.

How you will help:

  • Be a key member of our product / scrum team. Using agile processes, their role will be to interact with the Business Analysts, Developers and Product owners to determine the best test scenario to implement for our products.

  • Work closely with the QA Manager and other QA Analysts and guide them through various phases of testing and development, both manual and the automation of our regression testing and End-to-End testing.

  • Represent the QA function within our delivery team and attend the Sprint planning/Daily Scrum stand-ups/Review and Retrospective meetings and actively engage in discussions around the Acceptance criteria/Test scenarios for Story/Bug tickets

  • Ensuring that the tickets being worked on during the Sprints are adhering to the acceptance Criteria before passing.

  • Creating the relevant tasks for testing such as manually test tasks and automated tasks like writing BDD files or automated mapping files.

  • Carry out exploratory, functional, non-functional, UI, Feature, Regression and user acceptance testing (both Manual and Automated) to ensure that high quality standards are achieved at all timesfor all software releases

  • Ensure testing is carried out in line with the development program, that agreed criteria and process checkpoints (gates) are completed, that feedback is provided early in the development cycle to support efficient project delivery

  • Assist with the preparation of test plans, recording software defects and provide technical descriptions and evidence, while also providing feedback and regular updates to the team to ensure that high quality and accuracy is maintained throughout the software test life cycles. This includes interfacing with any remotely based Test teams for testing projects (Both manual and Automated), including regression testing, fault fix and full release test projects

  • Provide assistance tothe Development / QA Manager in planning and coordinating testing activities

  • Identify and define opportunities for improvement, measurements for those improvements and the implementation and roll out process to ensure that overall quality standards and customer expectations are met or exceeded

  • Documentation including reviewing Testing Processes, Functional Specifications, Detailed Design documents and contributing to Test Specifications for Feature, System and Solutions Testing.

  • Assisting the QA Manager with team performance and KPI reporting

Who we have in mind:

  • Minimum 5 year's software test experience.

  • Experience mentoring and guiding testers through phases of testing

  • Functional, exploratory non-functional, Cross Browser and user acceptance testing with strong test skills and experience of working through a number offull lifecycle projects

  • Experience in working on complex Web applications

  • Agile Scrum methodology and ability to demonstrate a strong grasp of the test lifecycle within the Agile development lifecycle

  • Familiarity with defect investigation and isolation and the importance of reliable means of defect reproduction

  • Regular use of a defect management system such as Jira.

  • Able to demonstrate awareness of the importance of test process collateral (scripts and other deliverables) and the ability to feedback QA related information to management.

  • ISEB/ISTQB foundation/advanced Certification

  • Proven testing background and demonstrable understanding of quality assurance

  • Experience with the following automation processes:

  • Selenium

  • Cucumber

  • Angular testing frameworks

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Some understanding of Test Strategies

  • A good understanding BDD (BehaviourDriven Development)

It would be great if you had:

  • Exposure to the following tools will be advantageous

  • Atlassian tools

  • Selenium

  • Cucumber

  • Git

  • Gherkin

  • Excel

  • CSS elements

  • Basic coding/scripting experience is an advantage, specifically JavaScript and Java

  • Excellent trouble-shooting and technical problem-solving skills.
