Location:
This role will be based remotely in the Mebane, NC area. There is a brand new LPD (Laboratory Products Division) plastics site being built in Mebane, NC. Ideally, we'd like someone that is local to this area and can travel to the area as needed.

How will you make an impact?
In this role you will lead large business changing projects for Global Operations across the Life Sciences and Laboratory Products Group (LSLPG) for products that enables our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. Reporting to the Program Manager, BTO, this includes responsibility for all phases of assigned projects (initiating/due diligence, planning, implementation, and control). The role will enable Company growth through new site expansion, product line transfers, and creation of more efficient operational strategies. The role will use in-depth project management and influencing skills to help support divisional and global operations long range strategies.

You will work with all levels of the organization and will demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills, while showing your abilities to build strong positive relationships to influence the team to deliver important results for our customers using excellence in project management execution.

What will you do?

  • Handles large operational transformation and growth initiatives

  • Develops project plans and execute projects in accordance with Global project management methodologies.

  • Develop cross functional relationships across the organization to drive efficiency in the project planning, implementation and control phases of the business change.

  • Ability to function in a dynamic customer focused environment and balance multiple priorities moving from one project to another as priorities change.

  • Strategic, astute and forward-thinking by anticipating needs and problems while creating solutions
    Follow and demonstrates a passion for using our project management approach while courageous to improve processes with a continuous improvement attitude.

  • Customer-centric with the ability to influence and build strategic internal and external customer relationships across our global diverse organization.

  • Develop and lead approved project budgets including capital and restructuring budgets.

  • Drive improvements in business metrics and seeking out opportunities to improve and reapply takeaways from experience while working across a wide range of many manufacturing processes.

  • Develop governance processes for managing actions to completion and escalation protocols for timely issue resolutions.

How will you get here?

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a business or scientific-related field with at least 5 years of relevant and well-rounded operations project management experience

  • A Project Management qualification or experience in a production or supply chain organization is desired

  • Experience in a complex manufacturing environment or Life Sciences background highly preferred

  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:*
  • Excellent project management skills, with strong technical understanding of how data and metrics and action planning can be used to help the team flow to the work to deliver for the customer

  • Outstanding collaborator with excellent interpersonal and partnership skills and knows how to influence without authority

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail

  • Requires up to 30% travel
