About this Position / Responsibilities
NFF is looking for a Sr. Project Manager for a Washington DC based Health and Human Services Client. Remote position with working hours in Eastern Time Zone.
The Project Manager will drive technical projects within the Operations and Maintenance team with the following Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Create detailed project plans, define tasks, milestones, and timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
Oversee the planning and execution of technical projects, including technical releases, software upgrades, security compliance, and migration projects (e.g., batch runs).
Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead the management, implementation, and reporting of large and complex initiatives.
Develop roadmaps, plans, and timelines, and assist in staffing decisions to align with current and future organizational needs.
Collaborate with department managers and directors to prioritize work, set deadlines, and allocate resources.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, clients, and other relevant parties.
Drive consistent communication and project tracking for stakeholder visibility and internal awareness.
Work directly with vendors and stakeholders to manage expectations and reduce confusion.
Governance and Compliance:
Ensure project governance, roles, responsibilities, and outcomes are maintained and improved.
Monitor compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates.
Lead project management transformation and change management initiatives.
Escalation and Reporting:
Act as an escalation point for direct reports, senior management, and directors.
Ensure a consistent reporting and daily management cadence, as well as accountability from key stakeholders.
Qualified candidates must have:
Proven track record of successful SDLC completion.
Excellent understanding and ability to implement project management methodologies.
Proven experience with vendor management.
Well-versed in district policies and procedures.
Deep technical expertise in project planning and execution of technical projects.
