The Tapestry Technology Management and Planning organization is looking for a project manager to lead digital initiatives across our three brands. This role will lead projects from initiation to deployment. Some key areas of responsibility include:

  • Facilitate project kick-off meeting

  • Partner with business stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals for requirements.

  • Develop and manage project schedule and budgets.

  • Manage project tools & repositories (e.g. Confluence, JIRA, Smart sheets, etc.)

  • Monitor progress against the plans, identify delays or bottlenecks, and make necessary adjustments to keep project on schedule and budget.

  • Partner with the ecommerce teams to determine level of testing and environments required for the project (e.g. End-to-End, Integration Testing, Load Testing, etc.) facilitate testing efforts when necessary.

  • Work with IT resources to follow Tapestry change control process and obtain the necessary approvals

  • Ensure all critical resources are available and escalation steps are documented

  • Facilitate the cutover and direct participates to execute their respective activities

  • Facilitate project status meetings and distribute project status reports

Private Banking Operations (PBO) is an organization that supports this effort. PBO is seeking a high quality Director to be a part of our change management team that supports the private banking operations organization. The successful candidate will initially join the digital program, working across a number of projects to support the growth of the Banks Description The Private Bank Operations (PBO) Change the Bank team manages cross-divisional, cross-product, and firm-wide initiatives on behalf of Private Banking Operations and the Private Banking Group within Wealth Management. The role requires the candidate to engage Developers, Business Owners and Operations Users to coordinate and contribute through all phases of the project lifecycle (Analyze, Design, Build, Test and Implementation). Key Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for the following: Participate in project scope and timeline definition, stakeholder management, and creation of communication plan Develop project plans, define project task and resource requirements Create power point presentations defining project progress, problems and solutions Document and participate in status call with project stakeholders Capture and manage project risks and issues - ensure effective escalation and closure Develop subject matter expertise in systems and applications, define business and operational requirements Create workflows, conceptual prototypes, mock-ups and review with key stakeholders as necessary Work with cross-functional teams to ensure they are engaged for upcoming projects Participate in test planning efforts, drive the design or review of test cases, traceability and process change request Actively engage in the testing process, for example, run test cases, perform demonstrations to stakeholders Coordinate project go-live activities with product, technology and operations including - preparation of kick-off document, run-book, ensure appropriate approvals are in place to support deployment Manage weekend checkouts following code deployments Skills Required Previous exposure to project work or relevant banking operations ( 2 to 5 years) is required The successful candidate will be a self-starter, eager to learn, and able to manage conflicting priorities Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a creative and flexible approach to problem solving Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work Self-motivated and autonomous Keen attention to detail Strong communication skills Strong time management skills ; performs the majority of day-to-day activities with minimal guidance and supervision Fluency with MS Office tools, especially Power Point and Excel, with Signavio or Visio good to have Bachelors Degree Skills Desired PMP (Project Management Professional) certified or equivalent project management experience Possess capability to write business and functional requirements, mapping process flows, creating test plans and performing testing in various environments Knowledge of Agile project methodology Morgan Stanley New York NY
