Technical Project Manager
Eagan, MN
Public Trust Clearance
Required Skills:
Responsible for managing large, complex global IT projects, with a primary focus on Oracle EBS R12 migrations, implementations, and upgrades
Overall management of teams and assigned projects including coordination, status reporting, financials, scope, schedules, etc.
Facilitation of requirements sessions
Ensure team is working as an effective unit, and build consensus
Communication and Change Management for assigned project(s)
Track milestones and make adjustments as necessary
Utilize and implement project management methodologies that ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, adhere to a high quality standard, and meet customers requirements
Work directly with clients to determine project scope and specifications
Assist with preparation of project related documents
Technical Skills:
UNIX/Linux knowledge be able to understand application OS dependencies and directory structure
Oracle comfortable defining data sources from application environment (JDBC) to db
familiar with application deployment on server, ear structure, start/stop and debugging
JAVA simple understanding of API calls and dependency on ports and firewall settings
Oracle EBS Expertise in ERP applications in technical point of you, enterprise change management.
Additional Requirements (Preferred)
PMP certification preferred.
Additional Provisions
Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
Once candidates resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
All candidates must be a US Citizen, have permanent residence status (Green Card).
Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
Place and Period of Performance
  • Hours of support:The standard work week for contract staff will be 5 days a week and 8 hours per day preferable Monday through Friday.
  • Contract staff may be required to travel to support business efforts.

The primary function of this role will be supporting the delivery of strategic, enterprise-wide product content initiatives. This role will work with staff within editorial and content operations, corporate technology, and the business units to execute the program vision. Qualifications: * Minimum Bachelor degree in computer science, business, or related field * Minimum of 7 years of progressive program/project management experience, including implementation programs of cross-functional projects in a technology or matrix organizational environment * Project Management (PMP), Change Management (PROSCI) and Agile (Scrum Master, ACP) certifications highly desirable * Demonstrated experience managing teams through significant transformation with ambiguous scope and audacious vision * Strong project management experience with demonstrated achievements in planning, directing, and implementing multiple and concurrent large projects * Demonstrated experience managing technical and business processes * Demonstrated project planning and management skills with strong knowledge of project management methodology, software as well as resource allocation and budgeting * Experience with software and/or vendor selection, running a competitive selection process, and experience managing vendors highly desirable * Experience leading cross-functional, remote and virtual project teams in a matrix organization * Ability to conform to shifting priorities and proactively drive changes in project scope, * Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources: management, business and technical unit contacts * Experience interacting with senior management and business stakeholders * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Visio and Project * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * Strong negotiating, influencing, and conflict resolution skills * Excellent team building and leadership skills * Some travel may be required- ability to travel up to 25% Locations: Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN Other: No direct reports At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
