Job Description:

CACI is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to support our program out of Charlotesville, Va.

What You'll Get to Do:

Plan and organize the management of a project or series of smaller projects or a definable piece of a larger program for successful completion and performance consistent with contractual requirements, government regulations and program objectives.

More About the Role:

  • Oversee and monitor project financial status and performance to maintain contract budget guidelines and schedules.

  • Acquires follow-on business associated with established programs or supporting new business development by leading major proposal through subordinate project managers.

  • Develops and executes strategic plans and objectives.

  • Analyzes performance under contracts to ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, funds, facilities, and equipment.

  • Monitors selected contracts to verify contractual and company objectives are met and provide site assistance when necessary.

  • Implements project plans by directing and coordinating project functions in the performance of contracts/orders assigned.

  • Establishes division policies, practices, and revisions to existing policies and practices as required to meet company, contracts and order requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by upper management directives.

  • Maintains customer contacts and visitations to ensure mature relationships.

  • Provides leadership, objectives, incentives and attitudes to assigned staff that leads to a quality project.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and 10 years' experience as a project manager.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the functions and operations of major U. S. military commands.

  • Complete understanding of contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts in achievements especially in acquiring new and follow-on business.

  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of various computer programs (i.e. Power Point, Excel, Word, and Project).

  • Advanced leadership and decision-making skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizen. Final Top Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.

Your Key Responsibilities A Project Manager at Stantec is a licensed professional chiefly responsible for engaging clients, supporting project teams, and reporting on internal and external measures of project performance. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate mastery of these compulsories while at the same time having a passion for the following: mentoring the next generation of architects, leveraging design to enhance teaching and learning, instilling a sustainable mindset, and growing business through presentations, interviews, and cultivation of client relationships. * Supporting Project Architects in developing, managing, and monitoring internal workplans; * Determining staffing needs and recommending project personnel; * Monitoring internal and external measures on project performance; * Reporting on progress toward internal measures and project goals; * Promoting industry standards and best practices in terms of project management and design including, importantly, sustainable design; * Preparing consultant agreements; * Maintaining positive client relationships and cultivating client satisfaction; * Participating in business development and new project pursuits; * Assisting in recruiting; * Mentoring junior staff to increase planning, design, and management capacity in them and the studio; * Prowing studio's base of knowledge by sharing expertise through presentations to the studio and region; and * Participating in the winning of new projects including collaborating with others to develop capture strategies, writing proposal collateral (e.g. description of proposed project methodology), interviewing with clients, and developing client relationships by participating in development meetings with clients, participating in client conferences, etc. Your Capabilities and Credentials A Project Manager at Stantec is a licensed architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience managing projects. As can be inferred from the list of responsibilities, s/he must be passionate about educational design; proficient in REVIT and other design/documentation software; have copious experience with project financials; an excellent communicator (verbal, written, drawing); be well-versed in a host of applicable codes and regulations; be well-versed in systems and materials, means and methods, and industry standards; able to rigorously adhere to management and design best practices including best practices in sustainable design; able to mentor junior staff and grow the professional capacity of the studio and region; and willing to collaborate with leadership to market the firm and develop business.
