Sr. Project Manager

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Meet with stakeholders to qualify new schedule risks and opportunities and assess the level of impact

• Coordinate technical build changes with upstream and downstream stakeholders through mitigation plans

• Facilitate change boards to assess programmatic impact of schedule change requests

• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans

• Utilize technical precedence networks to quantify impacts or leverage opportunities

• Lead coordination of complex schedule reduction projects across teams and domains internally and externally to drive execution to schedule

• Coordinate and participate with business partners in the review and testing of developed solutions

• Develop recovery strategies when non-conformances or other escapes are identified

• Develop and report key project metrics

Minimum Qualifications

• Passion for Blue Origin's mission: Millions of people living and working in space!

• B.S./B.A. degree in a technical or HR or organizational field.

• 5+ years of experience supporting operations or manufacturing project implementation for at rate production process improvements

• Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills

• Program schedule risk management experience

• Strong knack for troubleshooting and quick thinking to keep the project moving forward

• Demonstrated ability to build trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results

• Working knowledge of configuration management principles and practices

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating subsystems into a larger vehicle (ie. spacecraft, launch vehicle, test facility or a automotive)

• PMP Certification or 10+ Years in Project management leading improvements

• Experience with P6 or other GANTT-style project management tools

• Experience in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)

• Experience in the Atlassian product suite or similar experience in ticket management
