The Wilton Factory holds a department that is responsible for Operations continuous and structural improvements, related to ways of working, processes and IT tooling. For the larger and/or more complex improvements a project lead is assigned who scopes, plans, budgets, executes/drives and reports on the project. Typically these are cross-departmental improvements (e.g. cross D&E, logistics, planning, production engineering, manufacturing).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

  • Create project proposals and project evaluations.

  • Exercise projects according to our ASML project methodology.

  • Project Leadership: define project team and get approval on project plan. Manage project planning, project execution and realizing impact, including reporting and project closing. Transfer project to process owner in line management.

  • Continuous improvements: identify potentials for new improvements and contribute to the improvement of the whole operations value chain (system re-design) and infrastructure by participating in or facilitating problem solving sessions.

  • Business case: evaluate financial consequences of required improvement (including resources) to implement improvements.

  • Report progress in Project Boards and/or Wilton Factory senior management team.

  • Does not only define and steer, but is also focused on the operational aspects of the implementation; has a hands-on mentality.

  • Ensures continuous commitment of the WF key stakeholders to make the project a success, by addressing them on their tasks and responsibilities.

  • Has full understanding of the power and need of Change Management/Communication.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably a technical field or business administration), or equivalent experience.

  • Certified in project management methodology such Prince2 or PMBOK foundation & practitioner.

  • At least 7 years proven track record in managing cross departmental projects in a technical (manufacturing) environment.

  • Has profound knowledge/experience of Project Methodology (e.g. PRINCE2 or PMBOK).

  • Job-related knowledge and/or managerial experience, e.g. change agent lean manufacturing, project leader in operations improvement, World Class Manufacturing, Six Sigma (green belt, black belt).

  • Know-how of Quality Assurance and Improvement Techniques.

  • Advocate for working with Agile practices and mindset.

  • A fast-paced manufacturing environment that requires leaders willing to embrace new concepts. He/she must work comfortably in a manufacturing environment that utilizes Lean Manufacturing and Agile concepts and be able to coordinate with others for job accomplishment. Must have a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

  • Social skills to communicate at several levels, team builder, customer-oriented.

As a Material Planning Escalation Lead you are responsible for managing inbound supply, being first point of contact regarding internal customers.You will be coordinating escalated material deliveries from suppliers towards the factories and the field aligned to a specific product portfolio supporting a business line. In this role you will be expected to be the voice of the Wilton factory Material planning for all internal ASML stake holders.Main focus is to secure material availability to the factory and to the field, to resolve shortages and drive material escalations. In addition you are the operational logistic interface between the OSM and the factory. The Material Planning Escalation Lead will work with LSM and ASML stakeholders on finding structural solutions to material availability non conformities, train and re-train suppliers on new and updated processes, driving process improvements to improve material availability to the factory. Finally, you will perform the necessary analysis that will enable you to set up cockpit allowing you to manage your supply more proactively and exception-based in comparison to the 4 week production window. You will be challenged to turn-the-tables together with the LSM towards suppliers and internal stakeholders (defining what you need from them to be successful, sharing forecasts, performing supply investigations, supporting move rate assessments, …), optimizing part replenishment strategies (decoupling, logistical engineering, SMI, buffer management…), minimizing inventory costs, and maximizing re-use. Ultimately aimed at structurally improving material availability and efficiency (cost). Role and responsibilities * Responsible for the operational inbound supply towards the different demand parties of ASML Wilton Factory for a specific factory portfolio. * The first point of contact for the factory and the internal demand parties. * Responsible to resolve shortages and lead material escalations for all material late to needed dock date (NDD). * Create continuous awareness and drive improvements,internally and externally, to make processes more efficient by eliminating waste (LEAN). * Implement, train and re-train suppliers on new and updated processes specifically to material availabilitycommunication (Ariba). * Responsible for inventory management of raw material while ensuring 100% material availability. * Lead for material planning for cross sector efforts regarding material availability. * 4 Week schedule Demand and Supply analysis to the factory. * Manage and prioritize short term supply allocation for factory and field. * Initiate and lead material escalation process (CME 1 - CME 2). * Provide critical material availability inputs to business planning for critical path over views. (Go - No Go). Within SCM SNM OSM, as Material Planning Escalation Lead you manage the short term (4 - Week) material availability window of the factory. You make sure that materialdelivers and executes according to existing agreements and if required, you participate in improvement projects to change the supplier logistic processes to ensure part availability in the future. Using your knowledge in logistic management, analytical thinking and professional communication skills, you will be responsible for the following: * Ensures short term material availability (4 - week) is achieved by continuously monitoring and following up of material through Material Planner,supplier and solving possible issues/stagnations. * Analyses material availability and understand MRP logic and dependencies on other processes/departments within the supply chain. * Able to understand and clarify sources & impact of demand changes throughout the supply chain. * Participate in supplier improvement projects with LSM/QSM and support operational improvement plans with supplier. * Proactive supply management of portfolio of parts (e.g. supply investigations, optimizing replenishment strategies, logistical engineering/expediting, Tiger Teams). * Coaching and train the supplier to use ASML designed systems (e.g. portals). * Drives projects at OSM and/or participates in complex projects at SNM level. * Takes ownership for internal OSM processes by applying LEAN methodologies like 4C/A3 problem solving techniques. * Translates trends at supplier into actions targeting weak spots towards procurement and LSM. * Updates key stakeholders on a regular basis on status, progress and impact.
