Summary/Objective:

The Sr Project Engineer is responsible for primary design for small to large-scale capital projects in support of new product development, capacity expansion, and process improvement.

This role provides technical support to operations for process improvement and equipment malfunctions.

Essential Functions:
1.Design mechanical systems to replace and/or expand upon existing production equipment. Prepare the necessary mechanical drawings, electrical drawings and P&ID's as required. Provide integration and software development as needed.

2.Coordinate large-scale capital projects from project planning through project completion including writing of the project, project leadership, vendor selection, equipment specifications, and presentation to stakeholders and overseeing of 3rd party design.

3.Manage all activities associated with external contractors including selection, design of scope of work, monitoring of on-site contractor personnel, coordination of internal resources, conflict resolution, monitoring and management of schedule, approving of payments and communication of changes.

4.Troubleshoot component and system issues involving MMI's, sensors, motors and controllers. Provide maintenance support and TPM efforts

5.Provide timely communication to manager and other appropriate stakeholders on the status of all current projects

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

OR

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in substantial professional-level engineering experience

  • Proficiency in creating mechanical and electrical prints

  • Project Management experience

  • Proficiency in MS Project, Solidworks, and Autocad

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to travel domestically 10%-25% and internationally up to 10%

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 5 years of multi-disciplinary engineering education and experience; i.e. BS with electrical, mechanical and/or industrial engineering experience

  • Strong working knowledge and experience in: Project Management, mechanical design, electric motors, & electro-mechanical devices

  • 2D and 3D CAD Design

  • Knowledge of complete product development process from concept to production

Summary/Objective: The Sr. Quality Systems Engineer works with QS Director and team to develop a robust and scalable global QMS strategy that supports solutions and customer loyalty with a high degree of flexibility and efficiency. This position is responsible for the design and cost effective deployment of global strategies of ISO/Quality Management policies, procedures and best practices within their regional area. Essential Functions: * Align regional quality system with global standards and assure compliance to the relevant ISO/TS/AS and other relevant certifications within regional area. * Plan, schedule, execute and report on internal audits and training for the global quality system to ensure effective change control management in regional area. * Implements standard quality assurance policies and systems to ensure continuous improvement of design, production, and administrative practices. * Review quality systems processes with team and formulate new or revised processes/procedures to promote customer satisfaction, reduce cost and/or enhance efficiency/effectiveness by global standardization where possible. * Collect, interpret and report on global quality related key performance data on a monthly and quarterly basis for regional area. * Works closely with all functions or process leaders in regional area to resolve QMS situations, balance priorities, manage quality resources and maintain consistency with global standards. * Represent Rogers as the Quality Systems Management Representative in external audits and management reviews. Manage resolution of non-conformities to QS audits and report to regional management on the effectiveness of the quality system * In conjunction with Procurement and Supplier Quality Engineer, develop a list of suppliers (based on risk assessment) to be audited to the ISO/IATF QMS standards. Additionally, assist with audits of key and/or high risk suppliers on an as need basis (lead audit if no other auditor is IO/IATF lead auditor certified).
