The Sr. Motor Project Engineer will report into the Aircraft Group Electronics design organization. With the increasing industry focus on MoreElectric Aircraft and Electric Propulsion, this exciting opportunity will beinstrumental in the creation of innovative new technologies and new products drivingfuture growth.
The Sr. Motor Project Engineercan expect to:
Aircraft Group. Projects can includeIR&D creating new technologies and products, new applications of moretraditional flight control systems requiring BLDC motors, sustainmentactivities such as cost reduction, weight reduction, supplier development, etc.
Coordinate A&T of prototype motors including for example souringstrategies, special processes, dynamometer performance testing, coordination ofcontrol electronics, cooling systems, etc.
Work in collaboration with other motors designers and support staff inthe other Moog operating groups including the EMTAT team to alight technologyroadmaps, identify gaps in processes, etc.
Define and refine tools, analysis methods, validation techniques, keyprocesses, etc. that help Moog maintain and build on this key competitiveadvantage.
A qualified candidate shouldhave the following experience
A master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and at least 8years of experience designing, building and testing motors for aerospaceenvironments.
Alternatively, a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevantexperience experience.
