Parsons is actively seeking a Sr. Project Control Manager to support clients in the North East region. In this role, you will be expected to develop, manage, and/or execute all phases of the project controls effort (planning/scheduling and cost analysis).

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.

Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports.

Manages a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones.

Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.

Oversees the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed.

Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.

Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees.

Recommends and oversees the customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements.

Creates statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis.

Participates in business development efforts by gathering and presenting a variety of background data. May be required to make informal or formal presentations.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience) and 15+ years of related experience in Project Controls, as well as some experience in a managerial capacity.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field. Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in various Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity, as well as thorough knowledge of industry practices is required. Incumbent must meet Parsons Project Controls Manager Certification requirements.

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic Project Management Office (PMO) and partner with key interdisciplinary team leaders in planning for the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care. This new facility will be a 23-story, 750,000-square-foot comprehensive center that will provide leading-edge cancer treatments. In this highly visible role you will: * Partner with all key departments across MSK and drive assigned project portfolio(s) prioritization, resource allocation and delivery of project results. * Lead one or more medium to large-sized projects with moderate to high complexity across various business units. * Manage projects collectively valued $2 to $5 million plus in incremental revenue and/or cost savings targets. * Direct, coordinate, implement, execute, control and completion of their assigned portfolio ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. * Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing projects to deliver strategic portfolio results; lead portfolio priorities and resource allocation, monitor progress and performance against the project plan; craft risk mitigation plans, and takes action to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget. * Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project which may include facilitating alignment on the project charter. * Determine project metrics, resource types/expertise to staff the project, prepare designs and work specifications; develop project action schedules, multi-year budgets and forecasts; and select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors, as needed. You are: * Knowledgeable in both the theoretical and practical aspects of project management methodology. * Consistently self-directed and a self-starter, leader and facilitator of group dynamics. * Gather and analyze institution-wide and/or department-specific requirements and document business and system process flows. * Comfortable to lead/manage others and lead the timely and successful completion of large scale and/or multiple projects. * Develop relationships at all levels throughout the organization and skilled at consensus building, conflict resolution and negotiation.
