The successful applicant will support USSOCOM PEO-Fixed Wing in the execution of the AC-130J development and recapitalization program with job location at PEO-Fixed Wing, Tampa, FL. Tasks will include daily support of the AC-130J program manager in the development of program budgeting and planning, preparation of major acquisition documentation (such as Milestone A, B and C documents), Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Single Acquisition Master Plan, System Engineering Plan, Acquisition Program Baselines and Acquisition Decision Memorandums, as well as supporting and conducting period Program Management telecoms and meetings. Applicant will also be responsible for planning quarterly Program Management Reviews with Combat Acquisition Detachment team members. Related skills include:
Knowledge of installed aircraft systems/subsystems and support equipment
Knowledge of avionics/mission systems and advanced data links and communication systems
Knowledge of OSD and Air Force DT&E and acquisition policies
The ability to interface with all levels of project management is desired. Above average oral and written communication skills are required. Exceptional planning and coordinating skills are also required.
This position will also act as MTSI Tampa Site lead. As Site lead, this position will manage/supervise all other personal at the Tampa location, to include: time card approval, travel voucher approval, Aspire Career Goals, etc. Also, this position will be the primary contact with the USSOCOM customer to capture Program Development and Business Development growth opportunities.
10+ years experience DoD acquisition and science and technology programs
Extensive program management experience of Special Operations Forces and USSOCOM aircraft, avionics equipment and munition systems.
Experience in working program acquisition documentation in particular for AC-130W Stinger II and AC-130J Ghostrider gunship acquisition programs.
Above average written and verbal communication.
