Job Title: Senior Product Development Program Manager

Location: Mountain View, California

Job Summary

The Senior Product Development Program Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, control and completion of specific product development projects and programs, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The Senior Product Development Program Manager ensures that projects and programs are delivered on time, on budget, and with sufficient value.

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects and programs supporting product development

  • Facilitate the definition of project goals and deliverables; author project plans

  • Define project tasks and resource requirements

  • Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams

  • Manage project budget

  • Assess and manage project risk

  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders

  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

  • Ensure quality assurance as defined in the quality manual

  • Evaluate and assess project execution and results

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of product development and design control processes

Education, Experience, Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science

  • PMP certification or equivalent

  • 6+ years of experience in managing complex cross-functional product development projects and programs that span multiple years in duration, with budget exceeding $10M

  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management and change management

  • Medical device industry experience required

Preferred qualifications: * Experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems. * Experience communicating and explaining technical concepts to cross-functional teams (i.e. engineering, product management, and testing). * Experience launching new software features across a variety of surfaces and platforms. * Experience advocating for users with special needs or disabilities. * Ability to identify and help solve accessibility-specific technical issues and concerns. * Draw attention to accessibility issues using technical knowledge to ensure issues don't reach production. * Train engineering and other groups on accessibility testing. Be the voice of users with special needs or disabilities in the product area and beyond. Document and create road-maps. * Ensure new features receive accessibility evaluations and internal teams are made aware of any issues discovered during test period. * Gather all data and requirements for launch approval. Ensure test plans have clear descriptions of features and instructions for enabling features are completed and distributed, monitor the accessibility testing statuses and accessibility assessments, and ensure team commitments towards accessibility are upheld.
