Senior Program Manager, Manufacturing
Omnicell has a dynamic opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Program Manager located in Warrendale, PA. The Senior Manufacturing Program Manager manages a cross-functional team representing all of the manufacturing, supply chain and quality disciplines in the development and implementation of next generation robotic products. Working collaboratively with the hardware and software engineering teams you will develop highly manufacture-able and cost effective Pharmacy Robotic Distribution Systems. You will create and own schedules and plans that support overall project milestones and effectively manage the transition from design to manufacturing and throughout the supply chain. You will establish and track project metrics (schedule, cost, etc.) that allow the team and appropriate managers to both monitor progress and to assess the effectiveness of solutions.
In this role, you will ensure proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency during development and as products are transferred from the Design & Development to Manufacturing phase. You will also coordinate manufacturing activities related to the NPI (new product introduction) of Robotic Distribution Systems, develop in-process test methods and equipment.
Leads cross-functional manufacturing team to develop and implement new automation products.
Ensures that strong DF(x) principles are incorporated into designs.
Provides a single point of contact from design team to entire manufacturing organization.
Works closely with our quality and regulatory organization to ensure that products meet customer expectations, internal standards and external regulations.
Prepares program reports, and presentations for management or others. Provides clear status and communication with senior manufacturing managers including project plans, cost analysis, risk assessment, etc.
Collaborates with counterparts in Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and key suppliers to execute the project plan and to resolve problems.
Coordinate manufacturing activities for project team including: manufacturing process development, procurement, supply chain, and quality assurance.
Participate in early new product development activities as Manufacturing Representative; ensure Design for Manufacturability and cost management.
Lead process development and process validation activities, including master validation planning, IQ/OQ/PQ protocol development, and reporting of results.
Responsible for the design, development, modification and implementation of equipment and processes to aid in the overall manufacturing process and assigned production cell(s).
Support new product quote and development activities including actions related to the QMS, process development, part costing, packaging, process FMEA and control plans.
Support and identify efforts to eliminate sole source provider situations by identifying and qualifying alternate sources for parts and/or services.
Evaluate test results, investigate product test failures, analyze performance problems, define root causes, recommend corrective actions, and write test reports.
Knowledge within manufacturing, program management, quality systems, materials/supply chain, and design for manufacturability.

Ability to create and read electrical schematics, part and assembly drawings as well as understand their functions.
Working knowledge of fabrication techniques and processes. (i.e. sheet metal, CNC machining, PCB manufacturing, etc.)
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
10 years' Manufacturing Engineering experience.
5 + years' Program Management Experience with large, complex projects.
Proven experience leading NPI projects in medical or capital equipment or similar fields.
Electromechanical experience within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams through product introductions and problem solving in a complex and fast paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.
Prior experience in robotic manufacturing environment.
Experience in an ISO 13485 & FDA environment.
Experience with RS232, USB, Ethernet, CPLDs, microcontrollers, etc.
Experience with Electrical AutoCAD & SolidWorks.
Programming experience/ experience with developing applications on programmable device controllers and peripheral interfaces and test methods development process validation, process FMEA and statistical tests methods.
