To that end, Amazon is seeking an exceptional Sr. Program Manager who will be part of a group that's defining and building fleet capabilities supporting Amazon's current and future initiatives.

At Amazon we are building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Delivery Service Partners (DSP). Amazon works directly with DSPs to make deliveries to our customers. As a DSP, an entrepreneur can now be her/his own boss managing a fleet of up to 40 Amazon branded vans delivering Amazon packages. To be successful, a DSP will hire and develop a team of high-performing drivers. The Sr. Program manager will work closely with these DSPs and other partners team to build new processes for improving the overall customer & driver experiences.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Plans, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all business, technical, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project or sub-task

  • Communicate effectively across teams and to leadership to ensure alignment of goals and tasks to ensure the overall success of the program

  • Monitors key quality metrics, and defines and implements initiatives to drive improvements

  • Work within time constraints and deliver results to meet critical business needs

  • Comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading and has the ability to "roll up their sleeves" and jump in if needed, along with managing

  • Take accountability while providing status, asking for help and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer & driver focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The person will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. This role will include a mix of long term strategic projects and short term tactical tasks.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of program management experience with excellent program and project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and task delegation

  • Leading new or start-up related projects where processes will need to be defined, implemented and iterated within last mile

  • Proficiency with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems

  • Experience working with distributed teams, often in different countries

  • MBA or Master's Degree in a related field

  • Operations Management/Fleet Management/Fulfillment Center experience

  • Experience with and/or logistics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to analyze quantitatively and problem-solve efficiently

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment. You create order, without stifling progress and adaptation.

Our organization is building secure buyer risk and fraud prevention systems that need to scale to the exponential growth in Amazon products. We are leveraging Machine Learning to build systems that understand our account holder's behavior, and can detect changes in that pattern. We are building systems that leverage unique storage systems such as graph database technologies. We are building on a sophisticated rules management platform to give our machine learning scientist and investigators control over risk calculations. Amazon Buyer Risk Technologies is looking for super star Senior TPM to join the team. You will get an opportunity to influence Amazon technical architecture across multiple VP's, establish and own a roadmap. This role requires working with across product teams, and lead cross functional development teams from design through delivery. You will be accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world. This position involves regular communication with senior management (multiple director and VP's) on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, agile project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated leader/manager with superior analytical abilities.
