Job Description on Cepheid Website:

Global thought leader and facilitator

with wide breadth of scope, managing cross programs driving functional strategy

to improve operational planning and drive business support. Focus activities are anticipation of cross

functional business requirements, develops strategy for project execution, coordinates

multi-echelon implementation, and can act as fully accountable owner for

projects to achieve targeted business objectives.

Position requires a holistic

thinker, external thought leader, leveraging wide scope of leadership

experience, to effectively influencing leaders to develop transformational

targets and rapidly driving change through the organization. Responsible for

management of complex cross functional programs to successful and timely

decision points supporting world class supply chain operations efficiency and

capacity.

  • Proven track record of high

quality strategic decision making with broad global impact

  • Demonstrated expertise

in multiple supply chain disciplines, with broad expert knowledge across

Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, and others

  • Demonstrated success as

technical expert in broad supply chain areas, supporting management, development of solutions, and execution

of wide breadth of initiatives

  • Optimizes cross

functional resources allocations to achieve complex and unique objectives within

budget and timelines

  • Demonstrated project

integration, planning, communication, and documentation skills to oversee

and prepares project team resources requirements in collaboration with

cross-functional departments.

  • Clear steering

committee facilitation and communication of analytics, charter, processes,

activities, decisions, and change.

Ensures socialization and documentation.

  • Experienced as lead

with operational shop floor management, enterprise resource planning (ERP)

tools, quality management, and quality metric methodology, including Lean

Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

  • Develop and facilitate

proposals, to support organizing and conducting relevant, concise, data

driven, professional presentations to leadership with recommendations.

  • Implementation of

successful continuous improvement elements such as Lean Leadership (Daily

Management, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks.)

  • Demonstrated ability to

translate strategy into action; Strong influence, led by influence, anticipates

negotiation, change management, and presentation skills.

  • Proven expertise with

project management practices, tools, and methodology to manage complex

project timelines and resources. Also strategy deployment and

value-stream mapping leadership.

  • Proven experience

leading Kaizen events including elements such as standard work, planning

process, value-analysis, material flow, or Heijunka. Also teaching lean practices

  • Proven high level capability

to communicate complex and controversial issues in a simple way to

executives and local leadership teams.

  • Knowledge of good manufacturing

practice for medical devices in FDA regulated environment desired.

Qualifications

  • B.S. / B.A in Life

Sciences or Supply Chain desired with min 12 yrs work experience.
