BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Confidence operating in ambiguous and iterative business space. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

DESCRIPTION

As a Program Leader, you will be responsible for building programs to minimize selling partner and customer impact of Amazon safety and compliance efforts. In this role, you will partner with category stakeholders (Vendor Managers, Amazon Vendor Services) and multiple compliance and safety teams to drive new initiatives to ensure product safety and quality and increase customer trust. The key focus of the role will be track end to end design and launch of consumables compliance controls or programs, and management of escalation framework.

Key job responsibilities

The candidate will also be involved in proactive planning of compliance efforts and have the ability to influence North America wide roadmaps for the Consumables org, identifying root cause defects, and communicating out and driving solutions. Building scalable tools and mechanism to track and report on critical metrics will be equally important. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, but also be able to see the big picture and improve current systems and processes. This role will own the Safety and Compliance escalation framework, and work with an offshore team to build scalable mechanism to resolve escalations in a timely manner, and resolve Selling Partner escalations. This role will also own Sr Leadership/ Director and VP communication on compliance efforts and escalations. The candidate will lead Consumables Business reviews, and also own Category point of view for compliance efforts. Comfort with ambiguity and a passion for customer and selling partner experience will help drive success in this role. The candidate must be able to influence across multiple company organizations, be an exceptionally strong communicator, enjoy diving into data and driving solutions. Maturity, high judgment, ability to influence, and analytic talent are essential to success in this role.

A day in the life

1). Partner cross functionally across Food Safety, Product Safety, Restricted Products and other compliance teams to drive process improvement and new program development.

2). Track weekly compliance project progress and report results

3). Coordinate escalation investigations and build project timelines for resolution.

About the team

Consumables categories consist of Health & Personal Care, Pets, Grocery, Mass Beauty, Premium Beauty, and Baby. In this role, you will be a member of the Consumables Cross Category Program team, and will be supporting the safety and compliance initiative and impact Selling Partners within the Consumables categories. The role offers broad scope as the Selling Partners supported by this role may span numerous Brands, end Customer segments, and product categories.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is required

  • Experience with SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
