Description

Job Summary: The Sr. Program Manager will be responsible for delivering multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives and coordinating teams globally across the organization. Leads and influences cross-functional teams to effectively plan, execute, and deliver multiple large-scale custom air handling product development projects, playing a key role in ensuring their success and the long-term success of the organization.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the management of multiple product development projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Drives the development of multiple comprehensive project plans within the program, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements to successfully deliver on the program business case.

  • Leads and motivates cross-functional teams through influence to cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Coaches, guides, and mentors team members (including direct and/or dotted line project managers) to ensure the successful execution of their projects and to foster their professional development.

  • Drives the program through successful delivery, actively managing dependencies, risks, and issues, and communicates project status, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Interfaces routinely with corporate Value Management Office (VMO) to manage and perform communication and reporting expectations, including executive dashboards.

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, engineering teams, product managers, IT/software, operations, and vendors.

  • Optimizes resource utilization to ensure the availability of necessary skills and expertise for program success.

  • Collaborates with resource managers to address staffing needs and challenges.

  • Implements quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Conducts regular project reviews and inspections to ensure program compliance and performance.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is required.

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in program management, preferably within the HVAC industry, with firsthand experience following a formal product development (i.e., gate review) process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of product development processes, preferably in HVAC systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with executive presence.

  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excels at collaborating across all functions within the organization.

  • Ability to oversee and drive multiple projects across multiple functional areas of the organization such as, Engineering, Production, IT, Product Development, etc.

  • Highly skilled in influencing others without direct authority.

Work Environment:

  • Sitting/standing for prolonged periods, primarily in an office environment.

  • Requires periodic visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.

  • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time.
