Job Description:

This is an opportunity to join the Missile Defense Program team of the Mission Systems and Sensors Business Area as Sr. Program Cost Schedule and Control Analyst to support the Radar Development Contract (RDC) and Domestic Production programs. MD designs, produces, and sustains radars including A/N TPY-2 and Sea Based X-Band Radar (SBX). These are high visibility, critical programs for IDS and our customers.

The successful candidate will be required to perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure that programs are executed within contractually agreed-upon parameters. Candidate will work independently and on several different program tasks concurrently, in a fast paced environment. This position will work with multiple functions and levels within the organization and provide Program Control recommendations and implement solutions. The individual should be dedicated to continued process improvements and the building of efficiencies into all operational aspects of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Cost and Schedule reporting and analysis

  • Earned Value reporting

  • Development of EAC's

  • Provide detailed financial analysis for Cross Business Teams (CBT) and Integrated Product Teams (IPT)

  • Maintain accurate records for Budget and EAC tracking

  • Process approved Baseline Change Requests (BCR)

  • Utilize & share knowledge of the RTN Earned Value Management system process 10255 policy within the program team

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of related work experience

  • Experience with EVMS (or similar process), Program Controls (Cost/Schedule), or EAC Process

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight and prioritize workload

  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Experience with SAP accounting system / Standard Business Warehouse reports and/or similar reports

  • Experience using PMX toolset

  • MS Office, including advanced Excel knowledge

Desired Skills:

  • EVMS audit/surveillance experience

  • Program start up/baselining experience

  • SAP APEX EV & wInsight experience

  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines

  • Proactive with demonstrated ability to recognize process shortfalls and successfully implement positive change

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills: oral and written

  • Ability to frame and interpret issues for Senior Management

  • Earned Value Certification

  • Ability to obtain a DOD secret security clearance

  • Previous experience/knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • 6 years of applicable experience to this job description in lieu of Degree

Process approved Baseline Change Requests (BCR) and ensures all changes are incorporated into control systems.
