Senior Production Supervisor

About your role:

As a Sr Production Supervisor, you will drive innovation and continuous improvement using your talents to transform patient outcomes. Partner with your team to create solutions for manufacturing challenges, and enhance quality, cost, and delivery of medical devices for patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work as part of a core team concept comprised of Production Supervisor, Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. While Quality Engineer and Manufacturing as not direct reports of the Production Supervisor, the production supervisor should be seen as guiding the triad direction.

  • Drive Innovation and change by communicating on key business initiatives and promoting employee engagement and specifically act as a lean deployment leader.

  • Supervise, lead and coach a group of product builders, technicians and production trainers while spending time on the production floor, including performance review, termination and labor resource. Execute on-boarding, cross-training, personal development strategies for direct reports.

  • Meet quality objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems and partner with Quality function as necessary.

  • Develop and achieve production plans, proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Develop and communicate departmental goals in order to achieve effective core 5 metric performance and administer the Employee Incentive Program.

  • Investigate root cause(s) of non-conformances (i.e. NCMR, audit, etc.), identify and execute corrective actions by expected completion date(s).

  • Work closely with cross-functional groups to develop continuous improvement plans (i.e. engineering, calibration, materials management, equipment engineering and quality) in order to achieve plant and departmental objectives.

  • Provide leadership and consistently adhere to company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure integrity of data systems (i.e. Kronos, SAP, LMS, TRS, PDM, etc.).

  • Will supervise or coach direct labor operators and technicians. Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians and manufacturing personnel.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.

  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of technical manufacturing experience

  • At least 5 years of direct people management experience

  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday from 3PM to 11PM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline

Sr Environmental Health and Safety Specialist About the role: The Sr EH&S Specialist supports and reinforces the importance of Environment, Health & Safety in the organization. Implements strategies, policies and practices for the overall Environment, Health & Safety program. Works with the EH&S team to integrate Environment, Health & Safety performance into plant operations. Drives continuous improvement in Environment, Health & Safety performance, while assuring comprehensive operational compliance. Your responsibilities will include: * Responsible for understanding the BSC EH&S programs to ensure compliance with current and future legal, regulatory and corporate requirements. * Participates in Global collaborative initiatives. * Proactively identifies and promptly addresses EH&S issues which may affect operations or may provide strategic advantage to the business and provides input for management review meetings. * Assists with activities for assessing EH&S effectiveness in the organization, including the OSHA Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), the Occupational Lost/Restricted Worktime Rate (OLTR) and ISO 14001 environmental performance goals. * Assists with plans to reduce worker injury and lost time rates. * Assists in the development of an effective Safety culture through cross-functional cooperation, communications, promotions and training including employee training on EH&S procedures, industrial hygiene activities, safety surveys, review and revision of local procedures, and serving as a member of the emergency response team. * Participates in the ongoing development and implementation of the Environmental Management System. (ISO 14001). * Responsible for assisting in emergency planning and taking an active leadership role in EH&S emergency situations. Assists in ensuring adequate evacuation and response arrangements are in place for fire, accidents and all other emergency situations. * Works in partnership with other Boston Scientific EH&S professionals to establish or adopt company demonstrated best practices relevant to our industry. What we're looking for in you: Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Safety Management or related degree. * Minimum of 5 years' EHS experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial setting. * Experience building and leading teams focused on EHS culture change and continuous improvement. * Ability to work with cross-functional groups and manage EHS programs that impact the entire site. * Knowledge of injury/incident prevention programs (ergonomic, chemical safety, root cause analysis). * Experience conducting risk assessments. * Experience reporting to local, state and federal regulatory bodies (air permitting, wastewater, OSHA) * Experience in compiling and leading training exercises for groups of employees. Preferred Qualification * Master's degree. * DOT Hazardous Materials General Awareness (Title 49 CFR, Part 172, Subpart H) certificate. * Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certificate. * RCRA Hazardous Waste Management (Title 40 CFR, Part 265) certificate.
