Senior Production Supervisor

About your role:

As a Sr Production Supervisor, you will drive innovation and continuous improvement using your talents to transform patient outcomes. Partner with your team to create solutions for manufacturing challenges, and enhance quality, cost, and delivery of medical devices for patients.

This is a second shift position. You will work 3PM 11PM, Monday Friday

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work as part of a core team concept comprised of Production Supervisor, Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer. While Quality Engineer and Manufacturing as not direct reports of the Production Supervisor, the production supervisor should be seen as guiding the triad direction.

  • Drive Innovation and change by communicating on key business initiatives and promoting employee engagement and specifically act as a lean deployment leader.

  • Supervise, lead and coach a group of product builders, technicians and production trainers while spending time on the production floor, including performance review, termination and labor resource. Execute on-boarding, cross-training, personal development strategies for direct reports.

  • Meet quality objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems and partner with Quality function as necessary.

  • Develop and achieve production plans, proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Develop and communicate departmental goals in order to achieve effective core 5 metric performance and administer the Employee Incentive Program.

  • Investigate root cause(s) of non-conformances (i.e. NCMR, audit, etc.), identify and execute corrective actions by expected completion date(s).

  • Work closely with cross-functional groups to develop continuous improvement plans (i.e. engineering, calibration, materials management, equipment engineering and quality) in order to achieve plant and departmental objectives.

  • Provide leadership and consistently adhere to company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure integrity of data systems (i.e. Kronos, SAP, LMS, TRS, PDM, etc.).

  • Will supervise or coach direct labor operators and technicians. Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians and manufacturing personnel.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.

  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

  • May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of technical manufacturing experience

  • At least 5 years of direct people management experience

  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday from 3PM to 11PM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline

Job Posting Title: Sr. Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift Job Description: The Sr Production Supervisor will supervise, direct and participate in departmental work activities to produce the desired quality of finished product at the most favorable cost, meeting both quality and safety goals. Responsibilities include learning all plant processes including maintenance, regulatory compliance including quality and safety programs, human resources activities, and managerial and administrative functions. Required Experience, Education and Knowledge: * Bachelor's degree preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field. * 3+ years of supervisory experience in food/dairy manufacturing environment, with progressive leadership responsibilities. * Must possess strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills. * Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company. * Proficient computer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. * Effective communication skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment. Preferred Experience and Knowledge: * Working knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations, GMPs, Sanitation, and HACCP. * Sanitation experience desirable. * 5+ years of manufacturing work experience. * Supervisory experience in a high-volume food/manufacturing environment. * Experience and career history with "Fortune 500" type companies strongly desired.
