This position is accountable for achieving multiple site production performance results associated with WSF activities performed or supported at each site. Performance results include, but are not limited to, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Schedule and Production KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). He/She will work in concert and alignment with other Sr. Production Managers, Superintendents Programs, Projects and Shared Services Functions to develop macro and micro work plans designed to achieve performance objectives. The position will report to the VP of Production and all site production personal shall report through various supervisor levels (Site Production Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors) to the Sr. Production Manager. Manage the work based on developed plans. Proactive and prospective reviews of work plan and schedule shall be conducted along with progressing to determine cost and schedule performance. Active measures shall be taken to improve cost and schedule performance and clear definable mitigation plans shall be established when negative variances occur or are projected, these shall be tracked until resolved or stabilized.

Individual or key technical personnel shall contribute to development of final production plans and assisting in development/alignment of engineering, procurement and material delivery to work stations, QC and QA.
Accountable to hire and train skilled craft personnel to support work across site and properly assign personnel to the work in alignment with production goals, schedule and plan based on skills and abilities. Working closely with HR to obtain/retain diverse people and leading them to be exceptional members of Vigor and as required administer corrective action.
Partners with the VP of Production and VP of Marine Fabrication for overall program performance and P&L.
Accountable to establish a safe work site and ensure that all leaders and workers adhere to company policies and associated regulatory requirements.
Accountable for production performance of regularly reported KPIs.
Accountable for adherence of completed work and worker performance to agreed quality systems, requirements of third party regulations as applicable and to specifications or contracts.
Accountable to develop, create and maintain a positive, inclusive work environment for all team members.
Accountable to hold themselves to Vigor Values and promote and grow Vigors values within leadership and workforce.
Responsible to review/verify all weekly production progressing produced/created or updated by Projects.
Responsible to review and evaluate regularly reported KPIs (weekly, monthly or for other key events or milestones.
Responsible to be well versed with all specification requirements and familiar with contractual requirements to ensure work is performed as expected and support for contract management is provided.
Coordinates with support services personnel to ensure equipment, facility, inventory, material and other required items are available to support work.
The position operates within established policies and procedures covering each work station. The individual must have agreement from VP of Production to revise standard work practices regarding safety, environmental rules and revision to work shifts. He/she is accountable to make decisions for selection of supervisors on assigned projects. In addition, the responsibility to work with Project Managers to develop build strategy plans. The position is accountable for over $100 million dollars in annual revenue. Incumbent is responsible for condition, function, safety, operations and compliance of facilities and all equipment associated within said facilities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: The role manages approximately 100-250 craft employees in various skills in numerous work stations in manufacturing shops. He/she is accountable for employee training and qualification, ensuring daily maintenance of equipment and upkeep, and other general housekeeping. He/she may manage multiple production managers, superintendents, supervisors, and various leads responsible for assigned tasks. The Sr. Production Manager will be required to document corrective actions and conduct performance reviews of staff.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS: The individual will interact with other managers in performance of this role and be required to coordinate scope of work with other company priorities. He/she may be required to communicate at all levels within the organization and will also at times interact with customers on shop floors and in meetings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Minimum 20 years of experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, (preference for marine vessel construction, production environment, with increasing responsibilities. Minimum seven (15) years of experience in a supervisory capacity, with increasing responsibilities. The incumbent must have experience and thorough knowledge of production procedures, government regulations, and administrative procedures within a marine program with a background in continuous process improvement. He/she must have experience and a working knowledge of all specific operations of departments, including all machinery and tools.

Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing setting with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity. In total 50% normal office environment and 50% of time spent in production areas in yard. He/she must be able to walk to and from job sites. The person must be able to climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders; to enter confined areas and tanks; or review work at heights. The incumbent must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl, twist and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. He/she may be required to work more than 8-hour with occasional weekend work. There may be local travel and out-of-town travel (including air travel) up to 50% of the time with notice.
