The Sr. Production Control Specialist is responsible to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate production and raw materials to meet customer demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and distribute production schedules based raw material and equipment availability to fulfill stock and customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery to customers is consistently achieved
Review raw material inventory to ensure sufficient levels are available to produce order requirements
Communicate with customers (both internal and external) on a daily basis regarding order and shipping requirements, evaluate and analyze order volume, order backlog status and inventory levels to level load production equipment and achieve optimal run cycles/volumes
Coordinate inventory control functions and related activities to ensure that production and shipping targets are achieved. Perform and or reconcile weekly inventory cycle counts, analyze and identify trends, address issues through training and coordinated efforts with production and materials groups
Audit shipments, receipts and production information/reports, maintain shipping DB, shipment logs, schedule shipments, process OSW (outside warehouse) shipments, reconcile invoices.
Support a zero tolerance culture to address behavior as well as work conditions to achieve an Injury Incident Rate per the Budgeted Year.
Support to achieve OE customer delivery of 100%. Achieve service delivery rates of 98%.
Support to achieve all customer targets for PPM and customer complaints. Target is single digit PPM's.
Support successful launch of all new programs.
Support a land fill free initiative with a goal to have all Shiloh factories land fill free per the Budgeted Plans.
Support the Shiloh Production System.
Help drive the LCCS methodology throughout all operations to ensure achievement of all productivity targets.
Support the successful implementation and execution of new process and systems technology to improve cost structure and provide superior customer service.
Support the goals of all financial expectations as established by the business plan.
Support the manufacturing strategy and footprint by plant.
Support all activities required to ensure smooth operational integration of any acquisitions into the Shiloh culture and processes.
Support the estimating team under the management of Operations.

Education and/or Experience:
Skills and/or Abilities:
Experience in working with MRP, BAAN and other inventory systems. Competent in working with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Thorough understanding of throughput production methods
Strong analytical skill set
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Working knowledge of blanking and laser welding operations.

This position requires a low degree of physical activity
Position requires ability to sit and desk for long periods of time.
Use of phone, keyboard and computer is required.
Required to walk and move without restriction in office and throughout warehouse.
May be required to stand and move about during cycle count or physical inventory activities.
The potential for accidents or health hazards in this position is minimal.
This position will perform work in both the plant and office environment with unrestricted movement.
