The Senior Product Specialist is responsible to facilitate and support projects and initiatives to achieve product line goals aligned to Rogers "Must do" results and the ACS marketing plan.

Essential Functions:

Sales Team and Customer Support

  • Initial point of contact for product line specific requests and issue resolution, including delivery escalation, quality issues, spec reviews, NQC, contract management

  • Responsible for quality and consistency of PL communications with Customer Service, Sales, TSE team and Customer Base

Product line profitability

  • Implements pricing strategies such as price schedules, price exceptions, fabricator pricing

  • Drives Operational/Engineering efforts to support year over year profitability improvements

S&OP Planning

  • Gathers Sales and Marketing input for the 4 month to 24 month PL forecast inputs

  • Manages strategic stocking programs

  • Implements customer qualification strategies for capacity expansions and product changes

Product Qualifications and New product Launch Activities

  • Supports PDP process and Implement new product launch plans,

  • Support engineering product qualifications (improvements, site expansions)

Marketing Communications

  • Ensures accuracy of product line specific sales tools (e.g.,data sheets, price lists)

  • Assists with divisional marketing communications efforts (trade show planning, product collateral)

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS Engineering/Science or BS Business/Marketing

  • 5 years' industry experience or industrial product marketing experience, with at least 2 years' experience in technical product management functions

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 5 years' experience of working in technical product management functions

  • Demonstrated ability to manage by influence in matrix organization

  • Graduate level course work in Marketing. MBA/Marketing concentration

  • International experience

  • Experience in the Product Management function for a specialty materials supplier to the electronics, semiconductor or automotive industry

DPM supports the following markets: space, alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors, and security. Summary: The Strategic Marketing Manager will be responsible for successful MIcrochip SAM and SOM expansion within the assigned Market Segment(s). Oversee the development of strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments. Identifies volume and strategic customers and develops partnerships. Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information, and creates compelling market analysis presentations.
