About the Role
Possesses specialized knowledge or skills in a particular functional area. A fully qualified, seasoned professional with a full understanding of the job role who works on more complicated issues facing the department. Receives general instruction from manager on new assignments but little to no direction in day-to-day work. Typically reports to a Manager or Senior Manager, and may mentor or supervise one or two less experienced professional staff. A technical marketing role leading out on the development and execution of the Production software (Canon & Partner) & professional services category marketing business to support Canon Solutions America's production print solutions. Requires strong print industry market knowledge for commercial print, transaction, direct mail with the ability to develop end-to-end solutions. Packaging & label market experience a plus. Executes on the PPS and Marketing strategies for Canon software, Partner software & professional services category marketing programs and assists with field escalation activities across the Americas, working in conjunction with other category marketing specialists & collaboratively with other functional organizations. This position will be based in our Boca Raton, Florida office Hybrid work Solution
Your Impact
Responsible for product launch and life cycle management, developing and maintaining pricing and promotion programs, population management and product revenue and profitability.
Responsible for developing marketing collaterals/samples/launch kits, sales tools, sales support, and sales training for Canon's production software, partner software & professional services marketing.
Responsible for developing new application and market opportunities, including but not limited to the TDM, Commercial Print, Corporate and Packaging/Label markets in support of opening new markets, driving new volume growth and revenue opportunities.
Manages and reports on new product solutions, product introductions and the product lifecycle for existing products through the Product Management Team (PMT) process by applying marketing principles including target market and application definition, product structure and pricing.
Ensures delivery and execution of the marketing programs and sales tools, product structure, pricing and service structure to our systems and communicates the results to our sales force.
Requires the technical aptitude to understand, discuss and demonstrate software solutions to different audiences such as technical buyers, coaches, economic buyers, etc.
Partner management including contract negotiation, building and maintaining partner relationships. Evaluate the market for partner opportunities to further strengthen the Canon portfolio of solutions.
Provides consultation across a wide customer base on how world-class end-to-end solutions are enabled to drive business success for customers.
Ensures fast and accurate communication with field sales to support sales activities.
Researches and develops sales tools for sell against competitive products including SWOT, objection handling, etc."
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Requires a degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Printing, a related technical major, or a related field.
Requires experience in inkjet, direct mail, commercial print and packaging/label market
Experience in sales, marketing, research and development, or solution management specifically focused on production inkjet solutions in the printing industry.
Requires experience in managing multi-million dollar business responsibiltiies
Technical aptitude required
May require up to 10-15% travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary) including overnight stays.
Must have solid Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially PPT - Familiarity with MicroSoft Power BI desireable"
