Senior Product Manager Technical- Global AmazonFresh/Prime Now Data Infrastructure and Analytics Projects

Love food? The AmazonFresh/Prime Now central product builder team is seeking an experienced and innovative leader to continue developing thought leadership and building tools for managing data and driving analyses in AmazonFresh and Prime Now. We are a builder team responsible for building tools to support internal stakeholders such as vendor managers and instock managers as well as building or adopting tools for our data consumers within the Grocery organizations. This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in Amazon's start-up consumables-focused environment. AmazonFresh and Prime Now move quickly to experiment, fail fast and learn.

This role is both creative and data driven - we need someone who can review our data infrastructure and visualization tools as they stand today, help us think big about what we should consider in terms the implementation of data sciences, system optimization, and machine learning applications. This role will report into an Mgr. Product Leader and is an individual contributor role.

  • The ideal candidate should have deep analytic horsepower coupled with creative verve and a strong customer orientation.

  • S/he will be an excellent collaborator with the ability to effectively partner cross-functionally with product management, retail vendor management, finance, technology, and business analytics teams.

  • The successful candidate will need to be a smart risk taker who can deliver big ideas to drive awareness and adoption to a highly strategic new product.

  • The successful candidate will communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.

  • Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key.

Strong experience in Platform Product Management for a Cloud-based or SaaS platform. Strong experience with Identity Management systems and platforms. Universal Skills & Responsibilities: * Deep customer empathy and curiosity * Ability to operate in Agile Environment * Establishing success measures/product/feature KPIs, and regularly monitors and adjusts execution strategy to achieve. * Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management; excellent interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making. * Comfort with ambiguity * Strong verbal and written communication * Strong presentation skills * Willingness to do whatever is necessary to meet team goals and ensure the project is completed Responsibilities: Product: * Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Sales, Product, Legal, and Customer Support to rapidly conceptualize, prototype, market validate, and launch new product ideas and innovations. * Develop 9 – 18-month roadmap with the ability to focus on and prioritize key themes. Communicate with customers on an ongoing basis to clearly understand their needs and pain points. * Design and conduct research and market analysis to build a deeper understanding of customers. * Create business cases to be prioritized on the roadmap and collaborate with the engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to build business cases, requirements/services, and determine the best technical implementation method and schedule. Making thoughtful tradeoffs to balance quality, customer value, and schedule. Influence: * Thorough understanding of business and product strategy to present and influence decision making of concepts, business rationale and key findings to stakeholders and Sr. Director level. * Present at customer briefings and at partner, press and analyst's meetings. Scope: * Manage cross-functional projects by providing project leadership and daily management throughout the project from inception to delivery. * Strong understanding of the business impact of product to drive revenue and increase customer retention & satisfaction. Engineering / Technical: * Well versed in defining roadmaps and delivering with teams that employ agile software development methodologies. Typical Education, Experience, and Knowledge Level: * Relevant Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in a related field or equivalent. * 3 – 5 years of experience * Demonstrated experience in or strong understanding of managing complete (end to end) life cycles.
