What we're looking for

We are looking for a Product Manager to create and drive the roadmap for homeowner self-service. Currently, Vacasa's field staff use tools, on behalf of owners, to make properties transactable and profitable. These tools manage everything from home inventory, rates and extended services for guests and are the key tool set for how homeowners perceive our service as a property manager. Over time, these tools will be migrated to our public-facing owner platform. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize feature development for the existing tools while evolving them into owner-facing functionality.

As part of a growing company, the ideal candidate will also lead-by-example in evolving product management and Agile delivery for the company. May be senior product manager role DOE.

What you'll do

  • Create a product roadmap to improve and migrate property onboarding and profitability tools into the owner platform.

  • Translate the roadmap into detailed, ready-to-build requirements that will have measurable traffic, conversion, profitability & NPS impacts.

  • Lead an Agile team interfacing with core Vacasa systems to manage field interaction with properties.

  • In partnership with engineering and operations, manage operational issues as needed to ensure high quality guest and owner experiences.

  • Define and manage operational KPIs and service levels for day to day management of success.

  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the product function at Vacasa.

  • Engage with employees to solicit feedback on products for future enhancements

Skills you'll need

  • 3+ years of experience with product management of ongoing software products.

  • Proven experience in creating and managing a product roadmap.

  • Proven track record of managing a product lifecycle in an evolving Agile environment

  • Must demonstrate expert knowledge of authoring & managing user stories into production.

  • Proven experience in writing data-driven hypotheses for product design.

  • Must have prior experience prioritizing features across multiple stakeholders.

  • Prior experience defining, building, and managing KPIs that define product success.

  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • BS in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent.

Bonus points

  • Prior experience managing an Agile team balancing new feature development with sustainment.

  • Prior experience partnering with front line organizations to communicate software usage, benefits, and best practices. Prior experience soliciting customer and field employee input in product design.

  • Experience in AB testing user-facing software; especially valuable if front-line facing.

  • Prior involvement in a company maturing its product delivery process.

  • A mix of small to large company experiences.

Functions * Create the strategic direction for the product line to ensure competitive, compliant, marketable, and profitable products are available for target customer segments. Champions product line by clearly articulating product positioning, key benefits, and value proposition. * Develop and maintain the assigned product line roadmap, delivering product requirements and bringing new products and services to launch. * Assign projects and ensure quality, performance, and completion within established deadlines. * Responsible for all product line compliance and regulatory adherence. * Design and define new product requirements, features and product campaigns to drive product penetration. * Evaluate and enhance actively sold and serviced products, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancements, tracking profitability and managing changes to assigned products. * Evaluate the impact of regulatory changes, risk assessments, incorporating Bank initiatives, and customer needs analysis on new and/or enhanced products and services. * Responsible for assessing and reporting on the effectiveness, revenue generation, market penetration, and profitability of new and existing products and services. * Measure and track the financial performance volume against established goals. * Lead cross-functional project teams in the creation and launch of new products and enhancements based on market needs, including partnering with Marketing, Global Payments and Deposits, Corporate Communications, Bank Support, Training and other stakeholders to create and execute effective product launches, promotions and campaigns. Develop project plans, presentations, development of training material, communications and other information related to product launch. * Negotiate contracts with and manage the vendor relationships with those who provide products and services to the Bank. * Conduct risk reviews and analysis of effectiveness of vendors, and alternative options of competing vendors, products, and services. * Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position, and keep up to date on regulation changes. * Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field is required. * More than 8 years of product management and banking experience combined. * Extensive ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance. This includes demonstrated project leadership of product development teams, comprised of cross-functional experts, marketing colleagues and vendors. * Extensive knowledge of the Bank's products, services, processes, and infrastructural components that impact assigned products and services. * Extensive written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and project management skills. Ability to train and present to small and large audiences. Ability to present findings and recommendations to the most senior levels of the organization.
