Hostway|HOSTING is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager to develop, direct, and execute overall roadmap for our billing, account management, provisioning, and service delivery systems. As a web and application provider, these systems are critical elements of the user experience, and are the engine behind our product and service capabilities. As such, we need a seasoned expert who has the right balance of technical knowledge and business acumen to develop and implement inter-departmental initiatives to consolidate platforms to those that deliver the best customer experience under the best operational model.

A successful candidate should have both operational and product leadership experience in a web-oriented product or service environment and have a good understanding of what customers are looking for from a customer experience perspective, and how best to achieve that goal. Since putting the best systems in place often means moving customer data experience in system migrations is also critical.


  • Develop and maintain a system roadmap that outlines which systems are involved in the companys product and service infrastructure how long they will be in production, when they will be consolidated or sunset and which systems customers will be moved to in the future.
  • Work with Software and System Engineering teams to develop and execute a tactical plan for accomplishing the roadmap, engaging third party developers and contractors as needed.
  • Be a powerful advocate and thought leader by representing assigned product lines and channels in webinars, speaking engagements at industry events and blog contributions.
  • Maintain a prioritized list / backlog of potential product enhancements and bug fixes, funnel them through the development pipeline, and track the progress of each initiative through deployment.
  • Coordinate the collection of quantitative data on customer requirements and desires through employee and customer surveys, social media, and on-line feedback prompts.
  • Act as an internal advocate for customers, championing their needs and representing their interests at all meetings and internal discussions.
  • Ensure that all product related information presented to customers whether in support documentation, or in system generated e-mails, or in the on-line order form is accurate, concise, and compelling.
  • Lead the formation and management of a formal beta test program and customer advisory board, whereby customers can test and provide feedback on future products and features in a structured, organized program.
  • Coordinate the implementation of managed services policies and procedures, including the creation and maintenance of a formal scope of support, escalation processes, training, and documented workflows.
  • Own all aspects of Product Marketing, from strategy to execution.
  • Be a powerful advocate and thought leader by representing assigned product lines and channels in webinars, speaking engagements at industry events and blog contributions.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of product management experience in a hosting, Software as a Service, or software development environment with a proven track record of success in bringing products to market.
  • Bachelors degree (engineering, marketing, business, or related field).
  • Technical and business knowledge of enterprise data centers and cloud infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with Agile development/Scrum methodologies.
  • Migration experience in shared hosting environment and proficiency in troubleshooting different platforms
  • Product marketing management experience including defining product roadmaps and market-driven product requirements based on customer, prospect, marketplace, and competitive dynamics for new product release
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to understand and write technical documentation.
  • Experience working in a driven, dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to be speak openly with customers in the interest of getting direct feedback on our product suite.
  • Able to effectively operate in a matrix organization - coordinating people and resources from multiple areas of the company

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field plus 5-8 of agile software development or project management required. BS in Technology or Business preferred.
