Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of and empathy for our consumers, their shopping behavior from starting to consider a purchase all the way through their post-transaction expectations

  • Define the entire Checkout customer lifecycle and develop engagement loops to better drive from the end of one transaction to the start of the next

  • Develop a product roadmap and collaborate with cross-functional teams (User Experience Design, Engineering, Analytics, Product Marketing, Program Management, Risk, Legal, etc.) to execute on the roadmap

  • Define goals and expected outcomes of roadmap items, aligning with portfolio objectives and key results (OKRs)

  • Work with an agile scrum team to define detailed requirements, write user stories and prioritize the backlog

  • Drive product development with an iterative approach to continually build, release and improve end-to-end solutions

  • Work with Analytics to evaluate experiments and launches, as well as ongoing product performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization

  • Collaborate with and manage a wide range of stakeholders across PayPal brands, ensuring PayPal Checkout blends all of PayPal's relevant capabilities into a seamless end-to-end customer journey

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on consumer internet products. Prior payments and/or eCommerce experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or other equivalent degree. MBA highly preferred.

  • Relevant experience developing high-quality consumer-facing products, technologies or platforms with proven ability to consistently deliver up-to-spec products

  • Strong product thinking, ability to advocate for the best customer experience and continually make prioritization decisions to focus on the best value for customers

  • Ability to translate product needs into technical requirements, understand technology dependencies, and discuss technical trade-offs

  • Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to drive and influence complex decision-making with various stakeholder groups and build cross-functional consensus

  • Excellent communication and ability to simplify and tailor messages to different audiences

  • Robust problem-solving ability, breaking down complex, open-ended problem spaces to find solutions

  • Highly comfortable with data and making data-backed product decisions

  • Some travel required (post-Covid)

What you are good at The Senior Product Manager and Product Owner role will join our Schwab Workplace Financial Services (WFS) Product Team in support of our ongoing enhancements and modernization of the WFS technology platforms and product portfolio.
